Lets see your creative center arm rest solutions. I am not talking about the door panel style, specifically the center. Every 70 series owner knows the struggle of the stock one being too low and useless as an armrest. Every time I do a long trip I vow to do something about it. Doing a search on google shows many options from cheapo ebay to elaborate and $$$ Aussie options.

Looking for something reasonable that is good arm height with some storage, an integrated console around the shifterl would be a plus.

I've seen some pictures scattered throughout build threads, a dedicated thread comparing the different options out there will be interesting to see.

Very nice! Who is that made by? Does it mount to the top of the stock one?
It’s sold by the “70 Series Store” in Australia and attaches to the factory lid. This is actually the second version offered by them. The first version (photo below) had cup holders built into the forward portion of the cushion which was not overly comfortable as an arm rest. The current version corrected that issue.

Not mine, I don't want a console fridge but it is taller than the standard center console and perhaps better at serving as an armrest.

I actually looked at those but had issues with the emergency brake handle location.

Did the handbrake cutout not align with your handbrake?

It was very tight so I decided to go a different route.

Also considering ditching the backseat heater that I've never used which currently takes up the bottom portion of the arm rest assembly, replacing it with storage.
@hoser who makes that fridge console?

For long trips I stick a yoga block on top of the stock box. It offers a nice feel and two height options. It's cheap and doesn't require butchering the stock parts.

Has anyone bought the 70 series store center console fridge? Just saw it in pics above and wondered if anyone took plunge and had feedback.
