Great post! I’ve been looking at racks myself, would be helpful if owners can give more info like where they got it from and how much etc. I’m not sure how much these racks go for.

I have got a Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform and a Rhino Rack Wind Fairing. I picked up the roof rack from Torc - The Off Road Company in Dubai

Pioneer Platform Rack too, a heap of option to easily attach accessories securely.

Here are a few pics of the dissent rack in use and some close up pics of the tent load bars with high rise awning mounts/outboard accessory mount.
Still have some fine tuning to do on the awning mounts but these will fit with or without the tent bars.

I have a Gobi stealth with a ladder and love it. I run around on the roof all the time, tying down everything from camp wood to kayaks.

Since I never have help loading kayaks, and I'm only 5'6", it makes a big difference that I can climb up on the roof and lash them down.

I like that the Gobi curves with the roofline. Very few racks do that. And I really like how Yakima stuff attaches to it.

However, Gobi sued a guy over on the T4R forum for "copying" their design. They also were totally full of s*** when they said I wouldn't have to remove my spoiler and then wouldn't return my calls when I told them they actually had no idea what they were talking about.

So dont buy a Gobi. Buy the new @benc rack.

I use an ARB. Probably not quite as low as some, but I like the classic look and the front to put gear if I absolutely need it (although I'd need to move the tent back, if i want to carry Jerry cans upright). It's actually strong as s***, as I've climbed on top of the tent and the front of the rack to undo a stuck zipper and I weight 220+. https://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/ProdImages/4rg5arb.jpg

Get a Gamiviti and don't look back. Love mine. I did the Expo++ (more handholds the entire perimeter), sunroof cutout, 4th plate (8 total towers) and the light bar dropdown. Can't say enough about the quality and flexibility with the rack. I can run an RTT on it, put the Yakima load warrior on it (when I need a big basket) and the Thule Evolution1800 cargo box. I build a twin jerrycan holder that mounts onto it is well. I love the fact I can strap down anything to it because it's a flat surface and has numerous tie down points and accessory mounting points. Best of all: Tim is a GREAT guy to deal with, is a HUGE Mud supporter (leads trail duty at HIH) and hasn't sued anyone (like GOBI).
