Not exactly a glamour shot, but it was an interesting day in the woods. We had been through several similar sized waterholes, but found the peanut butter in this one. My wife was driving so I volunteered to surf the hood. A quick tug and we were free.

Doing last minute prep for Southern Cruiser Crawl this past weekend. #checkyournuts #crawlprep

Had to repair a stripped caliper bolt hole - the remans are notorious for having stripped threads. Helicoil to the rescue!

Surprise upgrade when I was changing my outer tie rods... Dugan handed me a pair of new HD tie rod jam nut reinforcement shafts they have been beta testing. I'm up for the challenge! He even powdercoated them in my signature crimson.

Pictured is the new HD reinforced shaft sleeve, then my previous extended jam nut (protected the threads), and an OEM jam nut.

The retaining pins have rubber bushings (normally) inside the bore of the caliper. The rubber fell out of 1 pin on this side and the pin was free to move around in the hole, making a clicking/tapping sound over every bump. I ran the zips just to take up space in the bore and eliminate the rattling.
