Aloha guys. My 99 LC is going through power steering fluid and mechanic says it looks like it is leaking from the steering rack. Is this something that can be rebuilt or is it a replacement issue. I also blew the radiator about 30 minutes ago so will be replacing that as well. I have a Denso in there now but is there something better out there that I should replace the old one with. I’m not able to do these on my own so to the shop she goes. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii and prices are outrageous let alone wait times. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If it's just the rack seals, you can do this in your driveway; at any rate, yes, it can be repaired. Whether your dealership, or other mechanic will do it is another matter.

make sure it actually is the rack, the hose going from the resevoir to the pump can leak and end up on the pass side of the rack.

Try using a good name brand ATF fluid. Cheap ATF fluids will leak.
