When will you be in Ouray? My truck will be there ahead of the event with my brother. I'm gonna try like crazy to be there and during the event as well but there's a ton of uncertainty with the kiddo's arrival.
 
See you out there! May be up for some additional wheeling in Moab and Ouray.

Glad you got in! We'll share more details about donations shortly. We like to have a suggested amount based on expenses and we're still lining those up. Things will start happening pretty quickly from this point on.

If you want to hit anything between Montrose and FC on the way, HMU. Pearl Pass; punch bowl; Leadville over to Breck; stuff like that.

My son and I are planning to do both between July 2 and July 12. Maybe some other stuff too (Kokopelli? Hole in the Rock trail? Something else?) We may do Moab first or we may do Ouray first. We'll decide based in part on whether anyone else is interested in joining us, and I'd prefer to hang with a few other trucks when doing harder trails.

If nobody joins us we'll probably do Moab first and Ouray second, just because I haven't booked any campsites and since most of Moab is FCFS I'm guessing I'll have more luck finding camping around July 4th in the desert there than I will in Ouray/Montrose

Sadly I don't think I'll be able to do any post runs. I need to be back in Chicago on Monday. We may actually try to put down a couple hours of driving after the Saturday shindig just to make the 14-15 hour return trip bearable.

But pre-LCDC, it's on like Donkey Kong
 
I guess I need to start planning where to stay. Never done Fort Collins. Does anyone know where the morning meet up spot(s) is/are?

The trails we run are pretty spread out so we tend to meet in a convenient place near the trail. We'll pick a park, event space, or perhaps even a restaurant for kickoff and closing activities. We were last in Fort Collins in 2020 so it was quite a challenge working around pandemic issues but we made it work!

Any suggestions on general areas to stay? Looking to VRBO/Air-BnB.
