We made a speed run from VT to MN in the last 30 hours, nonstop. Stopped at a KOA for the night. Hitting the Badlands NP tomorrow, and then will have some time to explore and acclimate before the event starts. Any must see stuff in Northern Colorado that we could hit before LCDC?

If you want some fun quick trails around Ft. Collins/Boulder area, Ironclads and Storm Mountain are both pretty quick and worth doing.

Day one stop in St. George. HOTas Hanford, but love the view.🥰

Lol I didn’t plan as well as y’all. I’m cannonball-running from Seattle to SLC Saturday and then to Breck on Sunday. I should have planned for a stop in Moab.

I'll be in Breck on Saturday. HMU on Sunday, and we can acclimatize with some Bourbon. Hydrate with that Kintuky gudnes!

Tuesday or Wednesday night there should be a shoot the breeze and sip on Kentucky brown water, Scottish highlands slightly less brown water, PBR, or whatever other beverage you can responsibly consume (or not), shindig. Maybe just reconvene at the park after dinner? Since we're all disembarking from the same parking lot in the mornings, we should definitely try to coordinate. 👍

Mr. The GRRRRR pulled something like that together last year. I had Black Bear the next morning....that was a poor decision on my part. I wizened up this year, and have the "easy" run slated for Thursday this year. I'm down for this FO SHO!

Does anyone know if we are required to have an OHV permit? I ordered one on-line in any case but just didn't want the rest of you to get caught without one if they are required. Link below $25.25 is the total....

I ran into this at Moab and it was only required for OHV vehicles. Otherwise plated vehicles were fine since it's public lands.

Waiting on a veteran to set me straight.

A resident only needs an OHV permit when their vehicle is plated through the DMV. Colorado residents must contact CPW registrations to register their OHVs. Non-residents who bring OHVs into Colorado must purchase an OHV permit. OHVs include motorcycles, dirt bikes, three wheelers, ATVs and dune buggies operated on public land or trails in Colorado.

I just squirreled away 45 gallons of the cheap stuff. How bad is it in CO?

Can you score me 45 gallons too, please. I just paid $5.09 here near Chicago (and that was the cheapest station). Unfortunately the gas light had been on long enough I didn't have many options.

Long meandering way to Moab on 12 from Bryce Canyon but finally here.

Our pre-game road trip led us to Ouray for a couple days ahead of the event. Shoot me a DM if you’re in the area and are interested in running a trail, grabbing a pizza, or drinking a beer.
