Can't contribute much to this thread, but that's a mighty fine looking garage you've got there.

Thanks but it needs a bit of cleaning and re-org to put things right and clear out all the dust and grime from the work it saw this summer...

I finally jumped through the all the hoops and made my trailer legal today. I got the false impression I could make a tag, similar to those seen on "factory" trailers, weld it on (instead of pop rivets like the factory units) but not. First inspector pointed out the clear language that it must be "cut, stamped in the frame material and axle". When I asked why the factory made units didn't have to comply, he said its a Fed thing for them, homemade in NC must have it this way.

So, home I went to do it right, then off to the State HP for inspection since the DMV site only does it from 8-10am. Had to hang out a bit till a trooper came by, did the inspection and away I went to the DMV for the title/reg/plates. I ponied up for the permanent plates.

Finally legit, no more rolling the roads of NC pulling an illegal trailer...

2 years later???? Jerry....come on.... :)
I actually made my CDN101 legal just earlier this year myself, and I bet I owned it longer!
