Just finished installing the brackets, took about 3 hours total. When I put the seat back in the 80, I looked at it and said "Sh*t, that ain't much."

Then I got in, and WOW, what a huge difference! I felt like I was sitting in the backseat. I'm 6'5", and can now stretch my left leg out straight and not touch the fire wall. I also don't hit the OD with my right knee anymore.

Rick - thanks for making these available. This is by far the best mod I've done to my truck. It's going to be much more comfortable for here on out.

With the constant demand for these brackets I'm now stocking them regularly. If by chance they are back ordered when you make your payment they will be filled as soon as new stock arrives. The usual turn around time is 2 weeks once I place an order.

If you haven't gotten word of shipping please e-mail me to let me know.

Also, please note on the Paypal form what it is that you are purchasing. I offer several items on MUD and want to be sure you get what you are paying for.

Thanks

It's been six months since the last post. Are you still offering these extenders?

I just emailed you!!

has anyone taken any pics of the brackets or install of them? i would be interested to see what needs to be cut or ground.

Just got 'em

Just got 'em from LandTank 2 days after I Paypal'd. (Super Fast!) I will be putting them in next weekend and report back.

Here is a pic of the bracket installed. To do this three things must happen.

1. the front of the seat needs to be raised 3/4" which you can see the foot is now on top of the bracket.

2. the rails needs to be made to travel further than before which is accomplished by grinding 4 small nubs off the rails, a counter sinking a bolt and a relief at one end.

3. you need to shift the following nut on the lead screw back 2" which you can see that it's bolted to the bracket behind the original spot.

A 4" grinder makes the worst of this job a breeze but a small wheel mounted to a drill will also get it done. The bolt that needs to be countersunk is a flat head screw and a large drill bit or a countersink bit can be used. The countersink bits can be gotten at home depot or the like.
complete (Medium).webp

Just checking to make sure you have a set. Got new leather covers from Shane. Want to do this before the new seat covers go on.
