Like grinchy says, you need an anchoring solution and to finish to your preferences. Landshark sells wing trim kits, and several anchoring options, you just need to add them to the base kit.

No drilling or cutting required to install the boxes. You could probably do some sanding if it helps with your finish, but I didn't.

Hi folks!

I’m very interested in buying some Land Shark drawers and getting them installed. There are a ton of pictures, info, etc. in the 100 series forum… but not so much here in the 200 forum.

So… hoping folks here can help me answer a few key questions that I have.

1. I would like to sleep in the back (across the top of the draws and folded-down second row). What is that sleeping “surface" like? I understand there is some gap between the drawers and the back of the folded-down-second-row. How wide is the gap? Also, what is the height difference (if any) between the drawers and the top of the folded second row seats? Also, I noticed that when I fold my second row down, they’re not quite flat (not bad, but about 5-10 degrees tilted up toward front of the car). I’m assuming that won’t present an issue, but any first hand experience from folks out there? I’m planning to buy a nice mattress, like an Exped Megamat.

2. How difficult is it to remove / put back in the drawer system? I anticipate having to do this 1-2 times per year. Does adding the wing kits make this process more difficult?

Thanks!

1) pretty flat, there is a narrow gap to fill if you choose. the drawers are of course completely flat
2) it's a few bolts in awkward locations - if the drawer is out and you have electric ratchet maybe 5 min to take out. Maybe 10-15 min to put back in. Once all the mounting stuff is figured out (which does take some time, a couple hours perhaps, but I did have to use the generic kit, the 200 kit may be easier), it comes in and out pretty easy
3) I don't have the wing so can't comment on that. my homemade wing is attached to the frame.
i have a single drawer, two may take twice as long?

With the wings installed it makes a little bit more difficult to remove but still not that hard. The wings flip up and towards the center and are parallel to the top of the drawer so they're out of the way, but the two support arms on each side stick out pass the drawers a bit to the outside of the car. So just need to finesse it out, really not too big of a deal. I took it in and out a few times while lining up the bracket that bolts down to the 3rd row seat holes.

Here's a pic of what I mean.

If you were planning to remove it regularly you could trim down the wing supports slightly. I doubt shaving 1/2" or whatever off the end of the wings would make a difference in the support they provide.
