Hello friends -
I had the dealer install OEM 1” front spacers this week. Just today I thought I noticed a slight lean when looking at the trunk from the front. Sure enough, there’s about 1” (coincidence?) less clearance in the left wheel well (top of tire to top of wheel well) vs. the right.
First pic is the left, second pic is the right.
Any ideas from the folks that are far smarter than me?

2015 (new to me) bone stock cruiser.

Check out some of the threads on KDSS lean.

Thank you @Sandroad!

Also, brain fart, not 1” spacers, 10mm 🤦🏻‍♂️
Stupid question... but did they install spacer on both sides? The first picture, although a bit blurry looks like it has more threads for the bolt up top. Also the UCA on the top pic sits way more level with top than bottom picture.

Not a stupid question...I was wondering the same. Other than taking it apart to check, I have no other option than to trust that they did the job...
Maybe I'll randomly find one spare spacer floating around under my passenger seat...🤷‍♂️

I'll also try to take better pics this week.

Thanks!!

If you compare the threads showing above the nut, that will help determine. Also if you look at the strut you should be able to tell if they are both sitting in the same place. Since the spacer goes on top of the strut.

Also ask them for the procedure they followed to put the spacers in and post here.. That can helps other members on here help you determine where the issue is.

That has the spacers on both sides. Typical “KDSS” lean. If they didn’t balance the KDSS system or relax all pivot bolts and set the suspension to ride height before torquing them again this can happen easily. I’m starting to think loosening the sway bar brackets to relax those bushings too is important.

what dealer did you take it to?

Look up Duggy's Garage here in town if you need any future work, they specialize in Toyota 4wd @duggy

Also, i saw your other post. Did you figure out where that oil leak was coming from? Your mechanic didnt see that during pre-sales inspection?

Had Sterling McCall do this spacer install and fix the oil leak. I had extremely low expectations, but the service experience was actually decent.

I actually found out about Duggy's Garage on Instagram while my truck was getting this work done! I'm excited to get to know that crew and have them do some work in the future.

Interesting story about the oil leak...
My mechanic didn't see it pre-inspection before I transacted on the vehicle, because it didn't exist then. Toyota service confirmed with me that it seemed like the oil filter housing was damaged by whomever last installed the oil filter. After I transacted on the vehicle the dealer that I purchased from did their standard used-car maintenance, which included oil change. I should have known better than to let a random Ford dealer do the service; should have had them take that total off of the purchase price.

Thanks @bloc for the KDSS info. I read the other thread. Very informative!
