Spent the day by my self up the back roads, LIKE... really like the KM2s, they hook up so well at 20PSI, it scared me on one climb when the front tires left the ground..

Gotta admit those skinnies and lift make for some pucker on off camber stuff... Back when it was not lifted and little tires I could side hill it pretty good..


Need ARB locker now..;)
 
Sounds like you had fun. After an expenditure like that it's nice to know it is money well spent.

Skinnies definitely do make for pucker factor. I'm running 32x9.5", and I've been pretty concerned on occasion. Nice for squeezing through tight areas between rocks+logs etc. though. Next size for me will be 33x10.5" also.

Yep they are nice all around... New problem is the transfercase only in low range is popping out and making a sounds as if teeth are sliding...

Adjusting linkage?, read that Marlin sells a heavy duty spring for the detent..

Ya thanks man....me and my daughter fight over who is driving it next...she has been given the third degree about body damage after bruising the Taco a fair bit(bye bye Taco...)

Like father like daughter, my son has never even driven it, he is a low rider ricer kinda kid...

Lookin good.

Can't really help you on T-Case... Could something be preventing it from fully engaging? The only time I've ever had it not stay engaged was when it wasn't all the way across.

Kinda have two things to try and fix, that vibration from last year is much better, but under load in second and third she sure vibrates even after the tcase rebuild and new ujoint? Nothing terrible just a little annoying. But I will have to fix low range before the trip..

Talking with Awl_TEQ Kevin and Jaybob... got some good ideas on the tcase.. was going to get the Marlin heavey spring for detent.. but after a hour of messing around lubing the sucker and climbing some hills, it stopped popping out..

Kevin had a simular problem after his tcase low gear install and rebuild, he ran with a rachet strap, once home he wheeled it without the strap and no more slipping out of gear..?

Could be fresh rebuild and just not fully engaging first little while..going for a run up Mt Benson this afternoon..

Drive line vibrations still very annoying, last thing to try is rear pinion shim as there is some movement..

Glad to hear you're getting the t-case issue sorted without too much blood and tears. HOpefully the vibration problem can be sorted too.

Took the day off today to get some work done on the little LJ too. Can't believe how fast June 21 is approaching. Hoping to fab a front bumper and get my winch on before the trip too...but not postive it'll happen in time.

I know what you mean, after getting tires as Mr. Potatoe heads stated, the turbo is a must....just not gonna happen before the trip.
 
Running them down around 10PSI, having so much fun.....need arb locker bad..... they are only getting better as they get worn in a little. Ding a few body panels recently and will be backing off..


Me and Cruiser pilot are working a deal, if I get his V8 NV4500 cruiser in trade it will get better build since my BJ42 is to collectable to beat up..:beer:
