I was just doing research on shocks and saw that King has a set of remote resevoir shocks that they claim are bolt in for 1998-2000 100's, and even have a set of coil overs for the front and piggy back resoviors for 2003-2007 100's. I have included a link to the website. Once you are at the website download the catalog section for OEM Performance Series at http://www.kingshocks.com/news.php for the catalog with part #'s or go to King Off-Road Racing Shocks : High Performance Suspension for the website and look under FJ Cruiser OEM Kits the catalog has actual part #'s listed for the 100 series.

I have not priced these out or called them yet but am very interested to find out if anyone has installed these shocks. Not sure how I have missed this. Anybody know anything? Thanks

Thats great find on your part......props to you

Hopefully this means that other high end shock manufacturers will follow suit soon and give us even more choices

Did they confirm coilovers for 2003+?

I just called them and they are a brand new product. He did not have much detail and wanted me to call back or drive up to see them to speak with a manager. They also show a coilover for the 2003 + but I cannot imagine how that could be possible given the tight fit around the shock tower. Also, how would that effect the torsion bar set up?

Now we are talking, about time for some REAL suspension options! I know Slee is working on something that is probably very similar to what King just released.

Here's a snap shot from the catalog. Under the pictures it says 98-02 front "shocks" and for 03-07 front "coilovers". The 200 is also front coilovers. For the rear all year models are rear "shocks".

Notice the *Note saying custom lengths are available for lift kits. I'm sure there are lots of people that will love this, order a longer strut to allow for more articulation for their lift.

One note, the HDJ 120 03-07 Coil overs are probably a misprint in the catalog. They are most likely for the Prado series not a Land Cruiser. They also should have 98-07 instead of 98-02 for the non coilovers for the 100 series. When I spoke to the US HQ's they thought it could be a mix up because of the international Prado market that I think has a coilover set up. They will list for $795 a pair, 2.5" shock body. He also said they will be the same as stock in terms of length, but you will need to confirm that. If that is true you may need to custom order a different length if you are planning to upgrade to Carl's UCA's and want a little more travel. Slee will also have a great option soon, and may be even better since they are doing the R&D on travel and on valving for a heavy truck.

Are you saying the Slee shocks to be released are based on the King shocks? Basically a tuned version of their off the shelf shocks?

I was afraid of the Prado mixup on the front coil overs. One can dream though!

I thought we were gonna have coilovers for the front of the 100 series, looks like a no:mad:

No, I think Slee is developing a different set of 2.5" Remote Reservoir shocks. The King's are a totally new product.

Looks like no coil overs for 98-07 100's. Those they list for the HDJ120 are probably for the Prado not the LC and I think did have a coil over setup in the Prado. They will probably need to change the catalog to say 98-07 versus 98-02 for the 100. Front end is the same set up.

Soon, like weeks I think. Ben? Christo? Bueller?

OME shocks are horrible. Twice I have had them leaking on my garage floor after a few hard miles on some washboard.

Last I heard, from a little birdie on a sled, Overland Expo/Cruise Moab will be shakedown runs.

that's perfect timing!

They did that last year
