Best look and function! I wish it could be higher & better!

I wish there were a way for the manufacturers of these aftermarket bumpers to eliminate more of the poorly styled humps and bumps above where the bumper mounts. I wish that these bumpers provided better clearance and made the front bumper line flow with with the rear bumper line. Check out how much higher on the body line the front bumper on this truck looks in comparison to the rear. What are the big problems that have to be overcome to get this?

The rear bumper for both the kaymar and arb are actually both at the same height. Look at my thread and you will see pictures of the rear frame section even without the bumper on. Without chopping this up, you are not going to gain any greater clearance. Both the kaymar and arb also come right to the end of the trailer hitch, so both are the same.

Basically there is no *easy* way to gain more clearance.

Expected that to be the case

Since all of the offerings are about the same other than the issue you've already discussed, body vs. frame mounted, I guess their will be no truely different solution until there is a much greater demand for 200 series accessories. I would like to see a much more radical replacement of the rear bumper with metal that takes the place of most of the current plastic bumper cover, protecting and leading all the way up to the metal component of the rear quarter. I am sure that it would be more expensive, but so are the trucks! am waiting to see a redesign of the bumpers and possibly the wheel-arch-fender treatment as a minor remodeling of the poorly selling 200 series truck for 2011or12. Looks do still sell and this just hasn't quite got it yet.

Well, its only nine years later, but worth a bump.....

@orangefj45 and I (Cruiser Brothers) are now a US dealer for Kaymar. Not on the website yet, but a good fit for our general accessory line (Harrop elockers and whatnot) but especially our sales of Long Range Automotive fuel tanks.

Just getting up to speed, but we have already sold and delivered a few, so if you want a Kaymark, give me (@wardharris) a call at 209-636-0831. Email is fine as well to info@cruiserbrothers.com.

Thanks!

PS - If you already have a Kaymar, one of our customer friends did up some window stickers as below in 3x4" and if you would like a couple, shoot me and email with your US mailing address.

Ya, the single kit shipping and customs clearance was a killer, which is why we got involved as part of our tank and transmission shipments from Victoria State.

The basic 200 Series bar kit as shown in the photo above is $2,995 plus motor freight shipping from Stockton, CA. Variables are basically related to configuration and accessories, including year of vehicle and sensor/no sensor.

We are NOT currently stocking kits as we need to figure out demand, preference, etc. across the Toyota, Land Cruiser and Jeep spectrum. Similar to our tank business, we support a bunch of vehicles other than Toyota/Lexus, so tanks and bars will have their own website in the new year.

Please email with questions as PM gets hard to manage for business purposes. Just shoot a note to info@cruiserbrothers.com and we will share what we know. Orders take time, so please be patient.

Here is an excerpt from the Kaymar catalogue covering pre-8/15 200 Series as a start.

Thanks and
