Hi Everyone,

I just switched over from a GX 460 to a 100 series as a new project. So looking forward to browsing this channel now.

I've been searching and do have a question....

My new to me 100 series has the nav screen, and the screen itself is on the way out. It still functions, but is so dim, you can barely see it. What is the recommended modern replacement? Preferably with the ability to integrate a front camera.

Teyes is a good “modern” alternative.
Congratulations on your new project. Any noticeable / obvious differences between the 100 and 150 platform?
 
On my 2021 Lexus GX out of the 40,000 mi on it I put 20,000 of those miles on it off-road. I literally just picked this 100 series up today so I can't really compare yet.

I will happily provide a follow-up once I can get the 100 series off-road. My Lexus was very built for the off-road compared to this 100 series. I will say off hand, the 100 series is more comfortable on the highway. However, I had a very stiff suspension in the GX

The 100 series currently sits at 230,000, mi and has a 3-in old man emu lift. An aftermarket exhaust I think might be a borla, however I'm not sure. As well as Rock sliders, which I'm not sure which brand they are yet. Method Wheels and a K&N cold air intake (That's going away very quickly) as well a pedal Commander of some sort.

So far, everything works as far as I can tell. However, I do need to replace the window switch gear on the driver's door (I looked at those prices and ouch!).

Allows you to upgrade the stereo to a proper audio platform. And add front and/or rear view cameras as desired.

Another update: print your own radio bezel. I modeled it in CAD and it's a free download.

Thanks to redjet for his original spreadsheet which mine is based off of. I mapped all pertinent pins for anyone to easily follow. My vehicle is a 2001 LX470 with Mark Levinson audio (North American LHD model specifically).

The relevant connectors are at the back of the AC Amplifier and the orange plug at the AC/Nav fascia...

The right answer is definitely gonna require your year model.
 
Sorry, I did not examine your photo closely enough. That appears to be a 2003 or later model year, judging by air intake in the front bumper.
