Compressed shock lengths according to that old thread on here are as follows...
Slee - 12.5”
Bilstein - 10.39
OME - 11.42
King - 12.59
Fox - 11.55
Icon - 12.85
If I throw out the two extremes and avg the remaining = 12.015, call it 12"
ORI compressed length - 15.825 Difference of 3.825
I'm sure I'm overlooking something but my thoughts are to see if I can have an upper shock mount built and fit with the upper mount point 3.75” higher than stock. My 1" BL may help with this. I'll keep using my Wheeler's bumpstop but this way I am also using the additional bump stop built in to the ORI. Then install a limit strap for the lower extended limit similar to what is being done on some Tacomas, adjustable so that I can lengthen if a better CV becomes available.
Also thinking that the frame could be plated on the outside in this area to help support everything, similar to how some have done when doing a SAS on the 100.
What am I overlooking?
