Just out of interest- anyone know what the abbreviation "ECE" stands for that is found in the 2F Engine repair manual in relation to "only for USA and ECE".
I can guess it's in relation to the European models.

The related term "EEC" in Toyota literature stands for"European Economic Community."

Maybe ECE European Community Economic?

Also, since there have been a lot of reformulations thru the years with the Europeans and their economic alliances, what once was a valid abbreviation for an alliance, no longer applies when its name changed.

It would be nice if Toyota explained their abbreviations of English words and/or had a proof-reader proficient in English, as I'm sure you've noticed in their manuals ! Perhaps one of the European Mud members might chime in here who can translate "ECE."

SST is a special service tool, since the ECE is in () i would assume it is an abbreviation for a another term like SST..

That could possibly account for the first two but what about the last one of ECE?
