Aren’t you already having Transmission issues with your new 600? BMW does have its issues and being stranded would suck. However, we as a family test drove the Lx600 that was a ridiculous $46k over msrp it was pretty disappointing if I’m being completely honest for the price category. The rear seats still fold up agains the front seats(old design, not practical) and you can’t slide the rear seats for additional leg room. Volume controls and overall tech is still dated for a luxury suv. It also seemed more plasticky compared to previous LX, however the new LX seems quieter overall which is great. The big negative besides crazy over asking was the limited front and 2nd row passenger space. Since we have a 200, the LX was going to be our road trip hauler but it misses on almost all categories compared to a 2020-22 X7 M50i. The X7 is still quieter as well but roars like a monster when you step on it. Just have to make sure to buy a long extended warranty that you can’t get for $5500 125kmi 8yrs. So, price of admission is still much cheaper then the LX600.

Go on the bimmer forum and you’ll see most longer term X7 owners are very happy without any issues. Just don’t buy the new X7, it’s a pile of poo until they work out all the LCI issues.
I won’t touch an X7 with a 10 feet pole. Test drove one, it squeaked front to back as I pressed the panels and frame felt fragile. it looks like a BMW mini van

I'm sure it's an awesome vehicle, but my friend here in town bought one for his wife, and it has already left her stranded on the side of the highway overheating...with only 5k miles on the odometer.

I'll stick with my LX.
Gotta love that failing Heating Control Module. Every friend I have with a gas-powered 2020+ BMW has had that failure.

Yup. Even 2019s. I had a new M5, and engine overheated because of the coolant leak - all under 9k miles. They had to put in a new motor. Everything in BMW are designed to last 4 yr 50k max. I sold it within 200 miles after repairs.

I don’t think I could ever look at this without thinking about one of those Evil Empire guys from Star Wars. 😊

was he helping you with the repair?
Lol no. Old lady got something stuck in her thumb, way out in the bush, and it got infected. She's got bigger cajones than I do, she sliced off the tip of her thumb at the base of the thumbnail, the burned it with a coal to stop the bleeding.

It wouldn't heal over a month, and so she came to the clinic. I revised the amputation at the second phalanx.

nice work! weird how granulation wouldn't start after the charcoal cauterization...

Just drove my 2023 F Sport another 20 kms today. Do you guys find the idle is a bit rough, when I say rough, I can feel the LX600 shake a bit at idle (sitting at the lights). I vaguely remember watching a youtube review of someone mentioning the "rough" idle.

Killed a tire yesterday. Front passenger. Sudden blow out at 70mph, hard to tell exactly what happened since the tire sidewall shredded with me hobbling at 5mph (was only 2 miles from my house). Vehicle remained stable the whole time. Sudden emergency message on screen to check the tire pressure when it occurred.

15k miles on the tires. Looks like I've got about half the tread to the first wear markers, so now have to decide about replacing all four or just one.
