Finally got mine mounted yesterday, even though the snow still hasn't stopped here.:bang:

I warned teh guy doing it that it would be a PITA, but he said I just needed to get him a case of Coronas, so I brought him two cases.

Eight hours later, he was finished. I changed his bitterness with a little cash.

Everything said and done, I probably covered the cost of all the stick on weights I used.:meh:

Here's a couple crappy pics from my garage this morning:

I'll get some better ones soon and add them to the 80s on 37s thread as well.

More importantly, the station wagon will be on a forklift to test articulation and rubage by weeks end since I am considering wheeling this vehicle as well.:flipoff2:;p

Looks sweet! Why was it so hard for him? No tire machine? Do you have Stauns or something I dont see?

What was the problem mounting them?

How did he balance them? I need to get my 36's balanced right but the tire shop i go to says his machine is too small for a tire this large.

It'll never work, your going to poke an eye out and a bus load of nuns will die!:hillbilly:

Looks great, are you going to Cruise Moab?

What was the problem mounting them?

They are big ass tires, and a pain in the ass to balance. He has some sweet mounting and balancing equipment, which supposedly balances them both static and dynamically (I could be wrong as I don't know enough about the equipment and process). Plus he only used the stick on weights so that it would be more difficult to tear them off on rocks. I couldn't use the shop next to mine as they were barely able to pull off my old, worn down 35s. There was no way their equipment could handle the 37s.

...37's are the new 35's now.../QUOTE]

I really wanted 37's but couldn't fit in my garage with them, so I went with 35's. Guess I need to build a taller garage or air down when I get home:hillbilly:

My roof rack is off now as I replace the gutter mounts so that I can fit in my garage. My garage clearance is 7'10", and my CB antenna smacks the sign everytime I drive into the garage...:meh:

I don't think he even likes wheeling anyways...:meh:

Hey now, it is only due to circumstances outside of my control that I can't make CM09 this year...however...if you keep you eyes open and are there early, you might spot a certain 80 on 37" trxus with a peculiar green durabak shine in the desert sun :D

What's up on 8 hours to balance, that is insane. It took Discount about an hour to do mine.

I am going to trim my rear fender because I know it will hit at full stuff - haven't been able to flex them up since we just got 2' of snow last weekend. No rubbing while hammering around in the deep stuff :hillbilly:

Fine, we'll have to hook up for Holy Cross late this summer though, Cleveland Rock is calling...:D

Observations are as follow:
  • The :princess:isn't so excited about lifting the kids all the way up there, but her impression is that the tires have much better road manners than our winter studded 33MTs. Hurray for me!
  • I think they do feel great on the road.
  • I'm going to have to remove my little rubber thing at the rear base of my backseat doors.
  • I'll probably have to trim the little piece Tools had to in my wheel well as well.
  • The station wagon is going on the forlift Friday. So I'll no tomorrow if I need to extend any bumpstops to limit up travel.
  • I get slight rubbing on full right turn, but not left.\
  • My shift points are dramatically difference (especially goin from my winter 33s to 37s instead of 35s), which also makes the highway experience more friendly with my 4.88s. I may actually lower my MPG as I run much lower RPMs.

Absolutely.

And this one is sig line worthy, but please do NOT explain :flipoff2:

Trxus are awesome road tires. The 37's didn't take any more weight than the 33's or 35's did, which is to say plenty, but no issues.

Green is the new white!:flipoff2:

You need my bumpersticker:
GREEN VEHICLE Bumper sticker from Zazzle.com:hillbilly:

What trails are you running?

Hey those stickers are sweet, bring me one to Moab! I'm on E-Hill thursday, and leading Wipeout Hill on Saturday. Friday is mess around with the family day, so no official trail run that day. Like every year about this time, pretty much all I think about anymore, can't wait! Hope to see ya Nay :p

I do have an adjustable panhard. I'll ahve to get measurements to make sure it is where it needs to be...

You may also have unequal steering limiters on the axle end.
