How large in diameter are they?

6" dia
8.5" long. Including base but not mc .

Thanks.

It's not looking so promising, 6" would place the booster right beside the Brake Master... not leaving any space for brake lines. M/C is also different...

How much difference does the booster make? It's been a long time sine I drove a 60. Is the clutch a lot lighter than a similarly equipped 40?

well, you'd need a 60 mc to mount on it, but they aren't much different other than mounting bolts.

I think that's why they have that big aluminum spacer, to get them out past the brake booster on a 60, but it's been a while since I paid attention to a 60.

as for pedal pressure, dunno. definitely mushier/easier in a 60, but couldn't say how much.

Need 42 air cleaner lid?

It's funny, Abel came over a year or two ago because I thought I had one, we found the bottom part, but never did find the lid. I'll let you know if it turns up, but I suspect it didn't make the move when I came here from nanaimo...

I threw a couple 60 filter boxes into the trailer for the scrapper, but I'll have another quick look to make sure one of their lids isn't smaller.

Unfortunately, it's looking like it would be a major PITA. As far as I can tell, the clutch booster wouldn't clear the Brake Master without a whole bunch of re-engineering... which realistically will never happen.
Thanks, though.

Some day, I'll add a pneumatically opperated clutch assist... :hhmm:
It would likely be easier to get the desired result.

Would you have a drag link that would be around 36" TRE center to TRE center? Need a longer one for the Scout II power steering conversion.

I may also be driving past your neighborhood on Friday... are you likely to be around?

Edit: looking more like on Sunday, if things go ahead.

Sorry, Other than stock 40 stuff ,no.

I'd just shorten a tie rod.
the cruiser one fits inside some gm ones. Hammer in till its right length then plug weld.

On another note...

Finally put up my house number...only took 8 years.

Awesome. Could have painted it a LC colour like Moutard. Although, I never got the impression you were ever really that attached to Moutard.

On a more practical and somewhat "nerdy" note, Its so important for people to have their adresses visible for the emergency services. Especially in rural areas, so shame on you for waiting the better part of a decade. Considering the potency of some of the "you brew" i've sampled in your neck of the woods the chances a "un responsive person" call is likely, especially if I'm camping in the back nine!

Actually had more to do with ordering pizza....

Colour? black was handy...now if I'd grabbed a spray bomb of "crackwhore green" first,(I've instructed tremclad that they need to relabel) I might've painted it a cruiser colour, that's the only truck I miss

You do realize, that if you were unresponsive, I'd just put you through the neighbour's chipper to fertilize his raspberries,(you wouldn't fit in a green bin) and then part out your truck...?:flipoff2:

Good thing I'm far from your district. Heaven forbid I was at your place my wife would have my back and your capitalist ass would have a serious force to be recond with! She may be small but she bites...... hard. :D

(not to mention Tucker the uber gardomus maximus dog, he's got my back too)

I'm pretty sure Tucker can be bought off with greasy burger patties. :flipoff2:
