any chance for a later start time for those of us driving up from the valley? Like 10am?

Chris, a couple of us will be pre-running the route this weekend. The ROTM weekend will likely be a long trail day on Saturday, with a very short day on Sunday. We will have a better estimate for time needs/etc on Sunday (of this week). But, FWIW, Cherry Rd and I-17 is probably an hour north of the 101 at Land/FJ Cruiser speed. Heck, it is an hour south of Flagstaff.

Day trip or are you going to camp this weekend?

I have too much backed up work to join this weekend but I think we're in for the ROTM. I need to get those skids from Slee or find some used ones soon.

In for the pre-run.. Only subject to change if someone wants to go camping tonight in a different direction. :)

Please give me a meet-up place and time. I will be pulling my trailer because I am probably going to camp somewhere tomorrow. Possibly at Sheep Bridge where some friends on motorcycles will be. Pitch please PM me you # so I have a way to get a hold of you.

Steve maybe you and I can caravan up in the AM. I would come up the 101 unless it is going to be closed again. Then either 51 or I-17.

Ham, CB, InReach ----- Too much crap.... Beer.....

I will be Ham and bringing CB too. Meeting at 9am.

Meet you on the road at say 745 at Cactus and 101. I plan on filling up at Cordes Junction. Meeting spot for pitch is I-17 and Cherry Rd. On the east side

Curious will pulling a trailer slow your caravan down? Not sure about the gas prices at Cordes Junction. Believe gas was just under $2.20 A gallon last weekend at the Shell in Camp Verde. I would try and meet around the 101 and I-17 if I knew a time. No Ham but will have CB. What channel?

Chanel 4. Time at I-17 and 101 will be about 5 minutes after 8am. Trailer will not be a problem, we are not racing. Chris and I have a history with trailers and being patient. See you in the morning.

Go Speed Racer.. GO!!! I'm camping others aren't. Not sure if Steve is. It isn't a big deal to pull a trailer. It's been here there and everywhere in a year. Steve see you in the morning.

We had a good pre run, updates (and options) to the start cue will be added to the first post in this thread.

Little pre-run on a great day these pictures are from 7100 feet in elevation

Had a great.. Need a repot from @1Louder (Chris) who stayed and camped in the area with friends. It started raining by time I got to my destination. Thought it stopped later in the evening, no turned to snow.

Cold and rainy. That turned great intentions of a couple of hearty meals into something simple and driving to Munds Park for breakfast this morning. I wish I would have setup my annex before it really started dumping. So I improvised and used my sidewalls for a awning I have from REI. Worked pretty well. I guess a tarp would work but this thing dries quick and is super compact. This morning the roads were slick until we could hit pavement. I wish it would have snowed. That would have been easier. Always good to test rain preparations. Someone needs to buy me a Foxwing for my trailer!

Those foxwings look nice!

Here was my track from yesterday. Not saying this will be the final route. Pitch is responsible for that but it will give folks an idea. We drove around Camp Verde a bit and also towards the top end looking for camp spots. This also shows where I ended up camping with a group of Tundras.

What is the main FR road that the route goes on? Is it mainly just one or a few key one's?
Trying to make the run but do not want to commit yet but would like to explore the area when time allows it.
