I just checked the prices. The Flying J is 82.8/L right now: http://www.flyingj.com/fuel/diesel_CF.cfm?state=BC. It is a card lock but also allows retail - see notes section on web page. Pull up to a pump, go in to the cashier shack, give the lady your credit card, go out and pump, back-in and finish the transaction. The next time all you do is put your credit card into the card lock reader and pump away. It has to be the same reader you have been set-up on. The cashier told me I could just apply for card lock account and fuel up at any Flying J. I was too lazy then but probably will do it soon.

If you don't use the trickle pump on the West side you will be using the big rig pumps. It is always good to estimate how much fuel you will need as these pump push the diesel through pretty quick and it is easy to get a diesel bath if your not careful. Don't ask me how I know.:whoops:

It's not going to work out for me to join you folks this time, but thanks anyway to Bill and Drew for their offers.

Vancouver Island Cruiser Guy

I am planning to make it for this one again.... I had fun at the Churn Creek run, although helping Rod get his truck on all fours was an experience we all could have done without that weekend.

In case anybody is interested, BC topo map reference: 92I07 (Mamit Lake) is the map that includes Bob Lake. WGS 84 Datum Location (to the middle of Bob Lake):
Latitude: 50∘20.808' Longitude: -120∘34.649'
These old topo's don't even show a dirt track going into Bob, of course, they don't show the Coquihala either.

Rock Sliders

I had them fabricated from my own design - 2"X4" by 0.125 bolts-ons with kick-outs to push rocks out from the tires. They look a bit like the OEM running boards but tougher.

Ok, so I ran out of time and will not be heading up Friday, I will be going Saturday morning-ish. I will try to be at the Chevron for 8am but I can make no promisses. when you guys head off on Saturday from Bob lake, where are you going - just so I know, in case I am running really late.
