My preference is brake clean as carb clean can sometimes damage paint. In my experience brake clean is far less likely to do so.Great suggestion on carb cleaner. Wondering if brake cleaner would work since I dont have any carburators on my cars anymore. I've just been throwing the tubing away instead of trying to store oily tubing.

A piece of the clear should last several changes, granted the fuel rated hose will last longer but for the price and ability to see if the liquid is still flowing I'll go clear. FYI the clear is about 45 cents per ft.
Glad you're happy with your fuel line.I've used the clear before .. and that is why I suggested the fuel line.
You cannot see if the oil is flowing through the clear line.
The clear tube line turns dark oil color and then you you can't see through it.
The problem with the clear line is it gets hard and not-pliable from the oil after a couple of uses, so that is why I no longer use clear line.
Has nothing to do with the cost, it can make a mess.
I just curl the fuel line on top of the oil drain pan when storing it.
Just FYI.
But that would be too practical. In reality unless one bought a model that has an offset nipple no hose would be required if you could move your arm/hand quick enough. It's all good.I don't have any interest in getting in a pissing match, but can't you just wait until the oil stops coming out the end of the hose and then shut the valve? Regardless of whether the hose is clear or opaque...
In other words, the seat for the spring does not go back in.Yes, post and spring, but not the little disc that sits below the spring.
Yes, more are being produced.
I picked up a cheap one from amazon that seems to fit okay. I would've ordered one from Brian, but I didn't want to wait.I hit just about ever parts store within 10 miles, including NAPA, and found every front axle socket waaay too loose. Looking forward to receiving the Jowett Performance version.
