thanks...I've looked at Amazon but was not sure which to get..Thanks again. :))

With all of the pent up demand, I wouldn't be surprised if they were sold out. I ordered mine the first morning they were available again to be sure I got in on them before they become NLA.

Great suggestion on carb cleaner. Wondering if brake cleaner would work since I dont have any carburators on my cars anymore. I've just been throwing the tubing away instead of trying to store oily tubing.
My preference is brake clean as carb clean can sometimes damage paint. In my experience brake clean is far less likely to do so.

A piece of the clear should last several changes, granted the fuel rated hose will last longer but for the price and ability to see if the liquid is still flowing I'll go clear. FYI the clear is about 45 cents per ft.

I've used the clear before .. and that is why I suggested the fuel line.

You cannot see if the oil is flowing through the clear line.
The clear tube line turns dark oil color and then you you can't see through it.
The problem with the clear line is it gets hard and not-pliable from the oil after a couple of uses, so that is why I no longer use clear line.
Has nothing to do with the cost, it can make a mess.

I just curl the fuel line on top of the oil drain pan when storing it.

Just FYI.

Glad you're happy with your fuel line.
BTW I didn't really need the info but thanks anyway.
Merry Christmas

?

The FYI really wasn't for you it was for people reading the post.

I can tell you don't actually use a clear line. If you did you would know that once the oil goes through it does not go clear again when the oil finishes going through it. You can't see through it at that point in time.

Merry Christmas to you.

I don't have any interest in getting in a pissing match, but can't you just wait until the oil stops coming out the end of the hose and then shut the valve? Regardless of whether the hose is clear or opaque...

Yes.. that is really the only way to check. Look as see if it's still draining or not.

If you time it the first time, then you can pretty much go check it after that time it took to drain the first time. The oil temp is the variable. .. and be sure to open the filler cap when draining it.

But that would be too practical. In reality unless one bought a model that has an offset nipple no hose would be required if you could move your arm/hand quick enough. It's all good.

I use the hose so I do not need to remove the after-market skid plates which I have installed on my vehicle. I can then reach over the skid plate and attach the hose, and drain the oil. On the front skid plate (another non oem plate) I have an inspection plate and again use the hose so that only the inspection plate needs to be removed.
With the hose the pan need not be directly under where the oil ez valve is located.

how do I get on the list? :)

So got mine. Very nicely done, Brian. So to finish setting it up, do I transfer the post AND the spring from the stock filter cap?

Wow. sold out! Are there going to be more coming?

Yes, post and spring, but not the little disc that sits below the spring.

Yes, more are being produced.
In other words, the seat for the spring does not go back in.

Am I correct?

And thanks so much for fast shipping on the filter assembly. I hit just about ever parts store within 10 miles, including NAPA, and found every front axle socket waaay too loose. Looking forward to receiving the Jowett Performance version.

Thanks again, Brian.

I picked up a cheap one from amazon that seems to fit okay. I would've ordered one from Brian, but I didn't want to wait.
