And finally, 300k!!

Lucky that I passed this onto my wife when I was handed a comp vehicle. Otherwise, it would be close to 450k. I am now dallying a 2004 ls430. So in some fashion, the Lando got spared the heavy mileage.

Wow, a year since updating this thread. So I had cat triggered lights. The after market ones didn't last a minute. Luckily, what I got from the recycler for my used ones is what the aftermarket ones cost. Anyway, could no longer pass inspection due to triggered codes.
Sporting brand new oem hardware under there, from headers back. Also got a new set of tires on, since the ones I had on became so noisy and frankly, the truck became unpleasant to drive.
It now drives like a dream at 308k miles.

Funny enough, the only rust on this thing is what you see on the skid plate. I slathered it in ff since I brought it to NY exactly 8 years ago this month.
That s*** really works!
Recent service includes transmission fluid, new ac compressor and ofcourse, driveline fluids all around. Weird to post about that in here but I can always go back to see the work that was done, since I tend to forget.

If you don't mind sharing what is the cost of parts alone? Cats, down pipe and extras? I hope the one I got won't have this issue after I get it running.

So everything from the headers back, inclusive of all gaskets but excluding the tail pipe were bought from Olathe, online out of KC. They had the cheapest price per cat vs my local dealer.
The tail pipe was adding too much to the shipping so I got that locally for $602 with tax and all.
Olathe was $4,530 and the damper with cover for the muffler was another $98 shipped to me from Nashua NH. The hardware was bought at Lowes, another $50 or so bucks, but I bought some additional bolts and things.
All in was close to $5200, which too painful to type in here. I did the work myself.
You can probably buy another car with that kind of money, but I was thinking, this should last another good few years now.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the Olathe order include 3 oxygen sensors as well, both downstream and one upstream. The other one upstream had been recently replaced so I saw no need to replace it again.

Cats alone were 1300 each!! Should have bought when they were 1000...sigh

That is a big chunk of cash, good thing you did all the work that would be another chunk of cash out of your pocket for the labor.
I also have an 04 bought it with an overheated engine and currently in the works doing the swap and other things that needs attention while in there sorta thing.
