I know most of you have read the Lexus Enthusiast interview with Joe Bacal from 2013. But recently on @mawlr Instagram page, Joe chimed in with even more info regarding how Toyota handled the AHC system and removing it. According to him:

"I actually did all the work on it besides the fabrication. I had a pre production 2008 LX. I completely removed all of the AHC system (as we know already)....I also removed 65lbs of the harness and sensors. TRD built me a custom harness to work with the limited system and stock ECU....."

So let me say this: I love AHC, I have no faults with AHC, it provides comfort and capability through a tried and tested system. However, having the ability to completely pull AHC knowing that the stock ECU can still function is interesting. I would like to be able to compare harnesses, but not sure how feasible that is since it is currently on an active race truck.

That said, I wonder if the modified harness is actually just a Land Cruiser harness?

It also looks like at one point Joe had 2 LX570s in racing trim. One that was pre 2008 and another that was 2013+ according to the attached picture.

Anyone know which one Canguro has and where the other one might be?

Canguro's "Monica" is the second build, the first car is in the Middle East afaik. We are just finished prepping it for the Baja 1000 now.

More ok Monica:

I seriously doubt the harness is just a cruiser harness if the goal was to remove weight. Even the LC would have provisions for a TON of equipment that wouldn’t be needed on a race truck.

Also, if toyota is providing custom harnesses, they likely have the connections needed to custom program things like a body control module or other similar “brain” to cleanly remove ahc and other now-unneeded systems.
