George said, get your self down there and and he will put you guys up and take you down to hammers.. When you meet the man he will make you feel right at home the Texas way..;)

Take lots of pics at the hammers...

I'm in! Let me know what you are doing. Pick me up here or what? I'll need details about what I need to bring besides money, toothbrush, VISA.

Geeze, put in a 12 hr day today and have another long one tomorrow. Gotta find time to pack somewhere and unload the excavator and its attachments from the trailer. Grunt. Its going to be a late and dark arrival in Nanimo tomorrow. Balls.

If I could just call in sick tomorrow. :bang:

We'll, for those of you who wished they could come and for whatever reason, couldn't. You're not missing a thing. Still at the boarder on the. Canadian side for that matter. We made it across the imaginary line for a minute or two but got our a**ses turned around and sent back where we came from.
Speaking off a**es..... The strapped, humorless boarder cop with rubber gloves wasn't gentle.

I've heard that if you say,"oooh that's the spot daddy" during the cavity search it ~usually~ speeds things along.

What was the issue, not enough paperwork ?

Things never go smoothly for me at the border. I think they sense I don't respect the mustache.

Yeppers, not enough paperwork...

I was on the phone since 7:30 am with a brokerage company off and on all day while trying to do my job until this minute at 6:14 and the boys are still not across the line..

Called the boarder cops, they told me the documents to fill out, turns out they were not at all what they needed.. Asked me who had given me this information, I did not know you have to get the name of anyone you speak with for further clarification..pretty sure they were messing with me..

Been a long two days for those guys, I feel there pain..... My stress level was at a all time high all day....

Working with a girl to get the documents correct, by 3:48PM, I called to ask if she had received my last document, was her quitting times so she left without calling me and following up...

I want to call Jay and see if they crossed yet, but Im thinking they are in customs right now..mean hope they are in the truck boarder crossing....

Talked with Tor at Torfab today, great guy... he helped us out a bunch as George is at the hammers pitting for Rusty Nuts Justin in the stocker class...

Fingers crossed boys...

They are officially over the line and driving south @ 7:59PM:beer::beer::beer:

Right on. So is Jay buying that Cruiser that you posted a pic of above? He's going to drive it back? Looks like a clean rig.

Gawd what a day.

Don't know what sucked more..... yesterday's boarder fiasco or today's white knuckle snow storm near death experience(s).

A huge snow storm hit between Portland and Eugene and we were in the middle of it. Spent over an hour at a dead stop while brainless truckers who chose not to chain up spun out on a snowy climb clogged the interstate. Cars in the ditch all over, whiteout conditions. I stopped counting the rollovers after I hit double digits.

We only clocked up the better part of 800kms today. Stopped just after the last (and highest) mountain pass just inside California. Snow seems to have passed, thank the good lord Jesus Christ our saviour for his blessings and keeping us safe, even while Jay-bob drifted the overloaded Dodge sideways at 90 odd Kph three wide in a tight snow covered turn. Seriously though.... something saved our asses on that one, poo was coming out one end and profanity out the other. My bad Jesus, didn't mean to swear like that.

Speaking of poo, some questionable dietary choices have led us to frequent far more rest stops than anyone would like to admit. Tomorrow has got to be better.

I only snapped one pic, Jay has a lot more. A northbound big rig spun and jack knifed blocking the north bound lane. Traffic was at a stand still for 8 miles.
