Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

This month is elections so please plan on attending.

I have a CHIRP program file for the Baofeng 5 radio's. I can bring my laptop if Andrew or Eric can bring a cable or you guys bring your own laptops?

I will plan to bring my cable. I played around with programming the uv5 on chirp, and have been able to listen to repeater traffic and a net, NOAA, 2m calling freq, etc.

Remember, tomorrow is election night.

I'll be there - have my baofeng programming cable also. Would appreciate if somebody could bring their charger.

I'll have my charger

Remember, tomorrow is election night.

Just a little update for those of you unable to attend tonight's meeting:
Election Outcomes:

President: Yours Truly

Vice-President: Doug

Secretary: Andrew

Treasurer: Ryan

TLCA Delegate: Kyle

Leon will continue to moderate the Mud, update the CLC.com website, CLC Ham radio net, along with all his other tasks...... and there was something about a club newsletter? :hhmm:

While Luke was unable to attend tonight's meeting I'm sure he'll want to continue to fill the role of Mr. Wonderful as well as the CA4WDC representative (Luke?).

I'm sure I'm missing something, but I don't have the minutes any longer.
:D

Oh, forgot to mention that we got to meet Brian (a.k.a MrMoose) tonight. Seems like a great guy and has a nice 80. Looking forward to doing some wheelin' with you in the future.

There's a guy running around Woodland Park in a super clean 80 on 35's, and I'm pretty darn sure he's got a V8 in that bad boy. Never able to catch him pulling into a parking lot. Would that be MrMoose?

Oh, and I will neither be able to confirm nor deny my status as Mr. Wonderful... But I'll see what I can do about CAo4WDC. I'm actually not even sure we're still members. Haven't received any emails from them.

He's running a 3FE & 5.29s if I heard it correctly.

Since I have the minutes...

We are planning to have Don from Teller County SAR to speak at the February meeting.

We are planning on a Tech night for the March meeting. I don't think we settled on a particular topic, so suggestions ahead of time may be good.:hhmm:

There is a note about CMTRA grant writing for April.

Wheeling:steer:: Schubarth this Saturday, Slaughterhouse Gulch in February.

I went out to drool over Justin's work in the garage after the meeting. Did you guys get those radios programed. Any additional thoughts on those radios?

I just got a "Colorado High Trails" in the mail and we're listed as an active club, but we're not listed on their website (don't know how often they update their site). ???

Yep, we connected to the radios fine. Andrew had already got his programmed so I just emailed him the file rather than taking the time to edit and upload. The Baofeng is limited to 127 memories so I need to clean up the file a bit.

As for additional thoughts, it is a bit too early to tell from my experience. Seems like a good little radio for the money, I bought it primarily as a back up and loaner. Time will tell....

Nice to meet everyone last night! Looking forward to getting on some trails with everyone once I'm back from VA.

I'm terrible with names, but I think it was Doug that had some suggestions for camps around Moab area for cruise Moab? If you've got any recommendations, I'd appreciate them!

Starting to snow here... crossing my fingers that it's a decent snowfall down here and up in Woodland Park. See you all up on Schubarth this weekend most likely.

Try this web site. http://www.blm.gov/ut/st/en/fo/moab/recreation/campgrounds.html
I personally like the campsite that goes up by Fisher Peak but it sin't as close to Moab as others.
