The Kaymar was a much better buy just a few short months ago. IMHO it has outpriced itself now with the recent price increase.

Is it me or does the Dobinson look really close the the Kaymar. Can you see the right tail light from behind when the spare tire is mounted? From one of the pictures, it looks like it is partial if not all blocked.

Big difference with the Dobinsons is that it does not have an integrated hitch, so you still have to have a hitch hanging below the bumper if you need that functionality. But if that doesn't matter to you, it might be a good option. I don't know about the visibility - you may want to reach out to Kyle Fogle with Treaty Oak Offroad to ask about that issue. He is a supporting vendor here and I know he has sold some Dobinsons bumpers for 460s.

Does the Dobinsons even have recovery points? Kaymar? Neither do IIRC? Kaymar at least has the integrated receiver so you can put in the hitch link. I don’t understand why the lack of recovery points especially on a rear bumper.

The pricing of the Kaymar is pretty high and has me looking for an other manufacture. Hopefully C4 fab can build a nice one.

I like the Dobinson but wish the tire carrier didn't completely block the light, and the gas can holder probably blocks the other one. It looks like it may have separate stop lights in the bumper itself, but I don't like that part.

I do want their drawer system though. That looks great.

Such a poor oversight isn't it...sadly it's not just the Dobinsons. IMO, The GX taillights are at great "eye level" for most vehicles on the road and reducing their height to that of a lowered Subawu isn't something I'm a fan of, all due to a design flop.

Swapped out the Ironman fog lights which I wasn't a fan of for some Baja Designs Squadron SAE's. I didn't think the incandescent lights looked rights, and the light output was meh. The SAE put out a fair amount of light but aren't blindingly bright which is what I expected for a street legal light. They also look a hell of a lot better. All I need now is a set of Amber LP9s and I'm good on front lighting.

Great garage!

Great build @prerunner221! I have 2 questions. How much height does the Front Runner Slimline II add? I am torn between the Front Runner and Prinsu. I need to be able to clear the garage at work. I know the Prinsu definitely will, but I prefer the Front Runner.
Second question, what recovery points are you using? They look a little heftier than the Treaty Oak option.

The Frontrunner probably adds 4 inches, maybe a little more to the overall height of the vehicle. I had the same worry when installing it as I park the GX in the garage at home. It still fits a standard garage with the rack and the Ironman coilovers, so you should be fine there unless you have a really short garage.

THe recovery points are from Ironman. I purchased them when I got the bumper. They are super thick.

Small upgrade, but I was waiting for them for months so....Rays center caps came in along with my Kics R40 Neo Chrome lug nuts. I think it finishes off the rims nicely. %th rim finally came in as well so my full size spare has the right rim now. That was a 6 month wait.

I got the LP9s in early this week as well. I got the amber combo pattern and harness and installed in a few hours, but there's nowhere good to mount the switch. I am not drilling the dash like I did on my FJ with the same lights, so fo rnow the switch is just drilled into the small black panel under the dash as a placeholder.

I'm thinking I might have to order a Switch Pro but I'm having a hard time figuring out where you guys are mounting it. I leave for a coupel thousand mile trip next weekend and need to have the switch somewhere I can easily reach, so if you have ideas, I'm all ears.

Anyway, the important part:

Last one for today. The Kaon Prado LC150 pet barricade fits just fine. I ordered the 7 passenger version and it went right in. Very solid product. Installs nice and fast, although I wish it had two sets of knobs, not a pair of knobs and a pair of bolts. I put some quick fists on it to hold med kits and gear and is doesn't move.

Now you can use it as an Uber police squad car!
