Is one older than the other ?

Wow, hard to tell. I'm sure there are different contract makers over the many years they used that jack. I guess someone will do spectra to analysis to date the paint. I'm happy just to have a yellow handle and jack - couldn't care less if its the "correct year"

The plain hook on top is older. How long is the bottom rod with the contoured hook?

FJ40 yellow rods have the plain hook and are around 24". Early Hilux trucks have yellow rods with the contoured hook. There are yellow, contoured hook rods that are 17", 27", 33" and probably others.
