Hey everybody,

It's finally time to lift the 80. The current setup features 35-inch KMC rims/tires on stock suspension (yes, it does rub slightly). I am looking to purchase a kit that offers adjustable dampening. I see that the Dobinson has a 3-way MRR kit. But my main question is, what add-ons or extras do I really need in addition to the shocks and springs? I know I will need extended brake lines and some mounting brackets, but I don't want to be spending money on any unnecessary stuff that won't make a difference. If someone can get me a list or point me in the right forum that has covered this topic, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced!

“Need” is subjective… How the vehicle will be used decides the needs for us. There is literally a week’s worth of reading you could do right here in the Mud library that will tell you what you want to know.

What lift height are you going to be installing will help us to give you some direction. There are many combinations of builds to get you driving issue free based on your budget.
The least $$ route would be doing the 30mm pucks to clear the 35s while retaining your coils with ur MRR. Maybe offset radius bushings to fix your casters. I would still extend the brake lines with longer braided lines.
If you open your wallet the ideal set up would be:
2.5-3" lift w/MRR
Delta or Trail Tailor radius arms
Delta Panhard/track bar bracket
DC dive shaft
Whiteline rear swaybarband heavy duty brackets from either LCP or Landtank
Extended bump stop (2")
Adjustable rear control arms
LCP Quick disconnect front swaybars and drop brackets
105 steering box upgrade and/or hydro assist
Big brake kit upgrade
Regear to 4.88 and Tcase 3:1 underdrive
And of course TURBO it

And if you can wrench, the $ saved on labor is the cost of a Turbo kit from Cruisers and Co.
😎
