is this worth $250 and how hard is it to fix the rear quarter panel? I need to go look at it tomorrow. It has no engine or transmission, but I have an extra laying around.

rust

the rust in the rear quarters doesn't scare you? Is there a replacement panel for the rear quarters. I have owned a pig before, but it was in pretty good shape, and i did not have mud as a reference. If I get it I will cut out the rockers and replace with sliders, and will do the same with the rear quarters if I cannot find replacement panels. what suggestions do you have? thanks

Hehe, I didn't think anyone would find that pig. I've gone past it before, but I never got in touch with the owner. I was planning on talking to him someday. He really only wants $250? If you got the space to keep it, its worth it.

well worth $250, wonder whart year it is? disc axle, 4 speed??? I see the high hood.

1976

It's a 1976 so that would mean disc brakes on the front. It has no drive train, but I am have an extra transmission, transfer case and rebuilt engine that I am going to put in it.

Are the drive lines in a 55 the same as a 60? The vehicle has no drive lines, and I have a set from a 60. Also it needs a radiator. Where can I get a radiator for it? Also I read all the posts I could find on replacing the rear quarters, but could not find if someone sold them. I am going to trim them with the rockers, but the rust goes further up than what I was going to trim. Are the motor mounts for the fj55 2f the same as the fj60 2f? thanks for the help.

drivelines are different, watch your yoke flange patterns and the length. iirc, the 60 rear shaft is longer, which is cheap to shorten, so it's still a good choice. not sure about the front.

for the rockers, you can trim all the way up and weld in rectangular stock (there are a few posts here, check em out, they will inspire you).

for the quarters, that's being discussed in the pig parts group, so be patient. :)

Buy it....it's a steal. Rhino put a engine, trans and split transfer case out of a ~84 60 into my 76 piggie before I purchased from him. Shoot him a PM about it, he'll help you out.
