I'm trying to verify if my newly replaced Oil Pressure Sender is indeed working or if my gauge in the cluster is malfunctioning. One way is to use a scan tool to view live data and see what voltage is coming from the oil pressure sender.
Below is a screenshot from a mechanic viewing live data using a Autel MD808 Pro on a 2003 Tahoe. I want to do the same, but on my 2005 LX470. Does anyone know if this is possible? And if so, what scanner works to do so (Autel, Snap-on, Techstream, etc...)?
On a related note, does anyone know if it's possible to buy an Oil Pressure Receiver/Gauge independently of an entire instrument cluster. I know it's possible with early 100 Series, but I think that may have changed by 2005. I hope not.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
