Iron man suspension

I purchad the ironman spings from a company going out of biz for 500 dollars. When it was installed, it was hard as a rock. I did not know it at the time, it was for a hj60 diesel, not the bj60. So I suspect there was one or two more added to each corner pack making the truck extremely stiff. How stiff? How about loading 800 bls of cement in the back of my truck and the rear dropped a inch.

It has been a number of years now. I have lots of gear in the back of my truck weighing it down and the springs still running good. I should however, take them off, clean them up, paint them then lube them. The springs have never been lubed with molyb before.

I put Ironman on my UZJ100 and they sit taller than comparable OME that another UZJ100 put on his locally....bought from Camel 4x4 and very pleased with ride and little to no sag noticed after 6 months...do not appear to have settled at all really which was always an issue with OME.

Somebody push John into buying this kit?

;p I know a couple of us out here are tired of his (many) excuses why it's still sitting in the driveway! :lol::lol::D

It is pretty well known that Toyota designs trucks to run a standard higher than American stock. The 60/62 series was designed to be lifted 2-3" higher than North American or Western European stock. The standard tire for those markets was the 30". But the truck was designed to run a 31" or 32" tire. The real design is downgraded in order to meet the fuel mileage and efficency standards.
Toyota designs a truck to run the tire size that will allow it to traverse harsh terrain. Then they downsize the tire size to allow for fuel mileage regulations. We can bring the tire sizes up to the intended stock sizes by our own choices. The FJ60/62 should run, at minimum, a 31-10.50 15 on the factory wheel. That, with a 2" lift just brings it up to factory spec.
Anything more than that is extra.

My kids loved them i honestly enjoy watching it sometimes, yup i will be wrenching alright this winter in the garage thanks to the insulated garage door i bought 2 years ago wrenching at night won't be a problem.I'm currently ripping out the radiator to be cleaned this weekend and starting to tear down the front knuckles to replaced the brakes and rebuild the knuckles too.

I forgot to call Mark to finalize the deal but he told me that he won't be in the shop this Sat due to a party at his place,so it will be Monday when i will call him and get this thing rolling he even offered to mudship To SNT.:)

John:D

it's a deal

Just spoke to Mark A. and confirmed on this iron man set up will be sending payment this week and he offered to mudship it to SNT.:bounce::bounce2::clap:

Is Marks off road still offering these springs?

Im in the market after finding out how much a re-arch and AAL will cost might as well upgrade. Also dont want OME at all....

For those with experience, would the best option be to pick up just the springs/shackles then piecemeal the rest?

Thanks
