Just got my ram mount and now you have me really rethinking my mounting options... What ram mount did you use on your bar? The "V" mount for 1" like this?
Good thread. I've been using Motion X on my iPad 3 for a while. We've got it mounted on our prototype gadget bar. Works good so far!
iPad and cell phone are both attached with Ram Mounts. I'm also going to add some other goodies to the bar...like gopro mount and one of those cupholders that doesn't spill!

I've been using that V-clamp, mounted to the passenger "dash" grab bar in my 80 for 8 months now and it's worked well. I have found it really needs to be cranked down tight to support the weight of a full size iPad (using one 5" or 6" connector arm).
