No not really. When I get annoyed with some Apple limitation, I just google it with "tweak" or "cydia" and often find a fix for it. I don't think I've had to add more than one or two sources to patch all the weaknesses I've noticed. I don't do any pirating of paid apps or emulating anymore.

i add a few sources just to find all the tweaks i like ,oh and to add movie box ,or if I'm bored i like this app ,it can kill some time .

i like her tweak called mikoto i stumbled onto it while looking for all mail actions ,
i hated having to delete each email i received individually .


the only app that i have acquired that i still use is dashcommand OBD2 reader
im running my astro van with no cat and a cat spoofer on the O2 censor and every 3 or 4 months i will still get the odd
check engine light for a missing cat , so i like to be able to read the code and clear it right away .

does any of this allow me to run Garmin GPS software on an iPad
 
Oh ya baby. iPhone 6 iOS 8.1.2 JB'd with TaiG with 6x7 icon layout and six icon dock and more. Yes, I have the TMZ app. Sue me. (That red line under the badge is a known glitch in the winterboard theme which should be fixed soon).

i love icleaner pro works great ,, whats that red shazam ,where did you get that ;) i dont see the mud app or tapatalk ?

While I don't understand 1/2 of what you guys are discussing, it is a very interesting thread. :popcorn:

JailBreaking your phone is a very handy thing. There are a lot of tweaks or enhancements that can be added to your phone to make it more useful. Tweaks that Apple should of introduced to there IOS ,
Everytime Apple does an iOS update a lot of there new features that they add where usually a feature that was only available on a jailed device . Apple likes there devices jailed it creates opportunity for programmers hackers to make there iOS better and more secure and costs them nothing. Lol. And then they can steal or implement the tweaks for free , I'm just rambling here , you should get what I mean. They may pay the tweaker for his tweak who knows.
 
Yup, makes sense. Keep it jailed and stable for the users, then have an R&D department develop features for free (or very little) as then Apple can adopt what they know everyone likes based on download stats of the jail-breaked apps. It's a beautiful thing. :beer:
 
Red shazam is just like regular shazam but is affiliated with something called the "(Red) Campaign". I think it's a cancer charity or something. I don't know how I ended up with it.

Tapatalk is missing because the new MUD is way easier to use in Safari. I like to tabbed browse like crazy and I think it's Sleipnizer that lets you hold on a link and have the link automatically open in a tab behind the current tab. You can't do that with Tapatalk. This way I can scroll down the list of threads and open all those I'm interested in in the background without having to keep switching back. Then I just start reading threads and closing tabs to get through them all. I do the same thing with news. A lot of the news "apps" you see on my springboard are actually links to URLs that'll open in Safari for the same reason. Most news apps don't support tabs. If you don't have Sleipnizer you are missing out.

6x7 is with Iconoclasm, but I had to google and add a source to find a six icon dock that works on iOS8.

Terminal I used to change the root and mobile passwords because I have OpenSSH installed and I don't want to have the default passwords. OpenSSH let's you navigate the file system of your phone (like iFile) from any desktop on the same wireless network. I play with photos, add ringtones and use my phone as a wireless drive with an app called Cyberduck that uses SSH to get into the phone. It's just way faster than iFile for these purposes. Also, once, I tried to speed up my phone by deleting a bunch of language files with Terminal, but I don't know if it made any difference. Terminal is scary. I am no pro at it.
 
ah cool i have open ssh also . i did change my root password but i don't remember how i did it ,
it was a part of a cydia tweak i had installed ,but i cant seem to figure out which one it was .
i did not have sleipnizer cool thanks just grabbed it . i used ifunbox . but don't do much anymore with that at all, icleaner pro removes language files voice control and keyboards stuff also , im sure u saw that .cleared out almost a gig of useless files from my phone

transparent dock and actually 8 apps on the dock one off to the side .scrolling dock

it looks a lot better to have more apps per row on the Ipad or the Ipad mini than just what apple has decided for you

Added a few tweaks to my phone added upscale and iconoclasm. Upscaled the native resolution to iPhone 6 res and added the 6x7. Layout. Not sure if I like but it works also 6 icon dock for iPhone 6. All on my iPhone 5s

Only put 5 icons on dock but it will take the extra 6th one.

If you is the upscale tweak and set your phone to 6 plus resolution it will also activate the auto rotate and split screen view like on the iPad , doh I went back to iPhone
6 resolution. And I still have split screen on settings and Mail
But the springboard rotation at least returned to normal. lol

Taig jailbreak IOS8.4 out , i updated my phone last night and re-jail broke it
Not sure what tweaks work yet though. Pretty smooth update apple didn't even wipe my phone. So i didn't have to do a full restore. Only lost my tweaks. Hopefully my phone wont screw up because i didn't do a factory reset/restore , i usually after an update like to setup my phone as a new phone. So it is nice and clean and fresh.

PS had to rerun the Taig jailbreak four times before it was successful
