I just talked to Cam, they are all ready for reassembly when the sun rises. And for even more excitement to the adventure, Andrew had a tire blow out while zipping back on the Coq. All is good though.

I ran into Cam in Dease Lake a month or so ago as he was fuelling up. Did he have his dog and cat living in the back of the truck this time too?

No cat and dog this time, but he might come home with a ground squirrel or two.

Hey cam I thought the plan was to trick andrew into doing something stupid thereby getting rid of the horses @ss award...

Sounds like you get to keep it...

At least with my problem I can keep driving forever... Just can't turn the truck off! Damn lack of hills in saskatchewan... We got 1 roll start in and one pull start thanks to some guy in a cumins!

Gotta love hot fueling !

Trail carnage is not fun . HMMMMM time for FF.

Sorry for laughing , you re right it is not funny. But I cant stop! Sorry

A good investment, and to pack along, for anyone with a semi-float?

Andrew just called, and they are ready to roll! They are in such good spirits that they plan on finishing the trail even.
Andrew has a SPOT link in his signature, so we can keep track of them.

Now if only Andrew would actually turn his Spot on, either that or they are swimming in circles in Lodestone Lake.

Either that or he forgot to set the handbrake and the rig rolled into the lake. :hillbilly:

Hope everyone makes it home in one piece!! (literally!)

So ummm..on another thread where I posted the video (Yah baby it's viral!) It was suggested to have tried putting the high lift across the tire and strapping it to the bumper and sliders, thereby holding the wheel in place.
I think we did joke about this, but using the high lift never entered our thoughts.

I had mentioned something about that, but totally forgot about the idea by the time I got to the "incident site"

Good to hear you guys got it back together. Hope you enjoyed the run! (and managed to beat the rain)

The trail is in really good shape right now. Way less water and mud than I was expecting. Lots more dust and mosquitoes though... Between the 4 of us in my family we counted 100 mosquito bites. Half of them on my son's head :(

Awesome. The trip ended up being a bit of an epic, eh?

Glad to hear you guys made it out okay. Can't wait for the rest of the pics and stories!

Met up with Cam today, he backtracked from Langley to Abby where I was working to return the tools I lent him and pay me back for the parts. It was good to meet him, nice truck, looks like he's heading in the right direction to figuring out what he needs to get where he wants to go. Now all you need to add is some longfield axles for the rear :D
Hope you had a less eventful trip to the island.
