Hello - I'm new to the forum. Just purchased a 76 FJ40 primarily to use as a hunting vehicle in rough terrain in the Texas hill country. It is by no means a stock FJ as the tub has been replaced with a fiberglass one and the engine with a V8. I'm in the process of having the mechanics checked out to make sure it is going to be reliable and so far everything is looking good. My daily driver is a modern Landcruiser and I got a chuckle out of the looks I got while towing a 40 year old LC on a trailer behind a contemporary one when I picked it up.
