I recently joined the forum and want to introduce myself. I live near Cape Town South Africa and have a passion for Land Cruisers. I currently own a 300GR, a 79 and a FJ62, which I plan to restore. The FJ is a 1988 model registered in Jan 1989 with 345,000kms and is probably one of the most original in South Africa, but does need some work. My aim is to keep it as original as possible. Im looking forward to engaging with everyone on the Forum.

Welcome. I hear your accent when I read your post, its awesome.

Cool truck and yes, what is the garage those pics are taken in?

4 or 5 speed transmission?

Thanks RevISK. The garage is the guy I bought the FJ from. He has 44 Land Cruisers. Lives in Pretoria
Amazing.
I’ve not been to South Africa but hope to someday. I have been to the northern part of your continent but definitely not the same.

Looking forward to what you do with your FJ62 and learning more about the differences.

I spent a few hours today adjusting my valves, changing out my plugs and generally just maintaining the ol girl.
