sfcruiser,

Just what I was looking for. Cemented the deal as far as I'm concern. Just out of curiousity, how long is the set up and tear down?

Once you've done it a few times it takes about 10-minutes to set up and a little longer to tear down and get back in the bag.

spressomon-

Cool pics dude! :D

Thanks! I got all kinds of cool new toys for Christmas including a new digital SLR camera...fortunately learning the camera features has been easier than learning Mac ;-) It was kinda funny...there were a number of folks/rigs camped out at this place when we were there. As you will soon learn the trailer/tent set-up attracts LOADS of interested soles: Be prepared! As I was prepping breakfast one morning I heard a couple guys talking as they walked past my trailer rig: "Look there's a sissy dog and the other one must be his body guard". Too funny!

Crap, just when I was ready to make the purchase this is not available at the moment...I hope they get some more in....This was on my to buy list...to shore up my camping equipment....

spressomon,

Where can I find a shower unit like the one you have in your pic. That is a shower unit? any feed back on it?

Very cool set up!

sfcruiser:

I assume you referred to the PortaPrivy shower/toilet enclosure?

Cabela's -- Outback Porta-Privy

I've tried several different shower/toilet enclosures but they took WAY too much time to assemble/disassemble and took up WAY too much cargo space. The PortaPrivy springs into shape in about 10-seconds and takes all of about 30-seconds to collapse and get back into it's disk shaped carry bag.

For hot water I have a Helton Hot water unit on the engine...but after all the washboard we covered I had a little fuse issue  ...so we ended up using the Coleman instant hot water heater (thanks Ali!!!) for showers.

Here's a few pics of the Carport Deluxe from DV last week...

I didn't know you had one. Ours showed up Saturday.

Looks like Rone and Sieg didn't mind the cold.

Wow...did you see Eduardo's pics from DV when they left a few days later than we did? Makes our mid 50's seem downright balmy

the link doesnt work anymore, is your the medium or large?

Mine is the Large Deluxe Carport. It came with the outside corner shock-corded poles for setting up as a horizontal canopy.

just got mine in the mail yesterday, I hope to sneak a little time today to set it up on the 40. i will post a few pics if I still have some light.

Again, thanks for the tip, this will make its way onto my trailer when it is done.

Please do, I wanted mine as much for the 40 as the 100.

Yeah, they were lucky they left when they did. I read somewhere about people getting trapped in Saline Valley.

How would you like to break snow on the Lippencot road??

Back on topic, do you ever rig the Carport off the LC rack?

No...but it'd be easy, quick and being lower than the top of my Maggiolina will allow the side wings to sit closer/parallel to the ground.

My rig is shorter than yours so I'm sure they will reach the ground.

Good darn thing I knew what you were talking about there fella :D. I've already gotten dethreaded by the mod for what he thought was suggestive material on another thread...
