A few weeks ago I was replacing the serpentine belt on my 02 LX 470. Long story, I ended up breaking off a little tip in the back of the air collector intake pipe that was attached to a little vacuum hose. I tried gluing it back, you can imagine how well that worked, until the replacement intake air collector pipe(17875-50190) could come in. I drove it just short distances for 3 days until I was able to install the new one. In that time the check engine light came on and gave the PO441 code. I figured it would be fixed once I put the new one in so once I did, I reset the check engine light and everything was going great and running great. About a week later the light came back with the same code.

I got this code when I first got the truck 2 years ago and I replaced both the gas cap, with a factory one, and the purge flow valve. I guess it is possible for one or both of those to go bad in that time but it seems unlikely. Just wondering if anyone has had any issue like this when installing a new intake air collector pipe

I have searched the P0441 forums but have not seen anything about this, so I am posting here.

Picture of top of engine, both side and to fender showing charcoal canister. So we see all vacuum lines and wires. May help!

BTW: Save the old air pipe. Since most can be repaired. One way is with a threaded brass nipple.

Thank you for that. As I was taking the pictures I think I realized I knocked a vacuum hose off the purge flow valve as I was installing the engine cover. I reconnected it. I am hoping that was it. The hose it self looks like it is over 20 years old lol. So I will probably replace that soon.
