Still to do is move the winch hook holder to the right side so I can stick on a Rigid Industries 10" LED LIGHT bar.

Video to be made this weekend somehow.

Cicak... You are an inspiration to us all. Getting ready to put a 13B-T in the FJ60 on Tues. Hope to emulate in a small way your success in smashing stuff :)

New Intercooler Dimensions

Hey, question for you:
What are the final dimensions on your intercooler- diamter hose in, etc? Any problems keeping the temps down at your current fuel settings?

Andino

Actually when we put the intercooler in the needle on the engine temp gauge dropped one needle - not sure why but it is barely two needle up from the bottom line when its getting hot it 2-3 needles up and I really gotta try to make it hot.

This is the turbo to intercooler pipe 50mm or 2"

do not forget turbo was also reveresed

Intercooler is now upside down over stock after it got chopped also.
This is a 75mm or 3" pip and bends accordingly.

Intake modified to at least factory size so not to restrict airflow.

intercooler stats 36/24/36 oh sorry thats the wife :(

20.5" long by 3" (75mm) wide by 8.8" (215mm) deep) this includes the 4" chopped of it (so it was 20.5"*3"*12.5")

Hope this helps you out.

I an suffering froma pressure drop at present can only get.1.2 BAR (16+PSI) and not 21 :( and not 1.5. I must have a leak somewhere so figuring out how to detect - smoke is one :)

Maybe more fuel needed also as we wound it back a while ago.

Thanks!

Appreciate the info and especially the photos.
We're about done prepping the 13B-T and hopefully will be putting it in on Wednesday.

That is quite some winch! It looks like an IFS front diff, I am not familiar with IFS so I must have dreamt that.

no idea if prado IFS or not but its PRADE front DIFF .

Saturday worse got married - Day started badly cleaned the RED truck for the first time in 4 years washed and vaccumed and steam cleaned the seats. Immaculate. Saturday morning it would not start FLAT battery so put it on charge and someone came to get us for our wedding .

Our wedding lunch comes around and no sign of wild Bill he rings gone to do a jungle rescue - vehicle stuck with no suspension and no shocks. Mobile fone pics later showed two broken front (yes broken) trailing arms) and two very bent front shocks - im still getting the full story.

Sunday Weekend Test run was a total failure

1. DAFFY the mighty HILUX Surf hada new 8274 it would only wind in and WOUND out in BURTS and slow - BRAKE jammed :( and very very hot brake indicating a binding brake on the wind out.
2. The Daihatsu ROCKY/ HILUX mongrel also had a 8274 installed and it FAILED a solenoid
3. Mine sad tale of WOE the GOD WInch worked last weekend I had the boat on the roof and dropped it into a MUDHOLE at the lake (5.30am in the morning :( ) launching the boat it PULLED the TROOPY clean BACKWARDS twice before it extracted itself.
so this weekend it would not work unlESS I held the PTO LEVER HARD making it impossible to see what I was doing.
I rescued the SURF and the mongrel DIAHATSU before problems occurred.

Reconnected the battery after pushing the jaloopy out of the driveway in my wedding suit so we could swap it for the TROOPY.

Went flat thanks to them 1/2 tapping the 24 volts batteries for 12 volts
Then the stereo fuse BLEW so we repaired that after fixing the puncture on the KTM 990 which came with us for the test run and then it SMOKED (the repaired fuses) leaving me with no windows no air cond no stereo - fark what a day

Then off to a MAMAK shop for LUNCH and yup you guessed it it poured right throught the two open windows.

Back home and yup you guessed it again it poured for two hours through the downed window in a torrential thunderstorm which took out our power in the house.

PIcs and video if good ones later.

Totally frustrating test for SUnday.

RED is off to the workshop this morning for REPAIRS under warranty i'm KINDA pissed and so are two other trucks hahaha both with sick 8274's.

Only 32 days to RFC 2011 its gotta be fixed.

Congrats on getting married. I guess if your wife is able to put up with that going into it, you'll have a bulletproof marriage!

Nice shot and
...... Congratulations ....

regards,
helimanBD.

RED is back in the SHOP after a protracted conversation in ENGLISH/BAHASA and CANTONESE

1. New PTO lever being installed to make it stay locked in.
2. RED being converted to 12Volts from 24v.
3. Mekanik now understands why 12v tapping of a 24v system is not good.

1 week to fix.
