dtt255: I'm curious: What is your front suspension droop with your new lift height?

X2

I think this is a very good question... down here (Venezuela) FJcruisers with OME suspensions have been breaking front shocks like crazy. As a matter of fact, some guys are already installing limiting straps to keep this from happening, as the shocks seem to break as a result of the loads imposed by acting as stops during suspension extension.

It is very likely that the same thing will happen to our 200s if lifted in the same way.

Well the articulation test is going to have to wait.

The rear Radflo's are not working out at all. Same issues as Chimyz. So I am going with the 2" OME lift all around and installing the ARB Locker for the rear next week.

Once that is all done I will do the articulation test.

What was the issue? Too harsh of a ride unloaded? Inquiring minds want to know :D

Chimyz can attest to the things I will list. He went through this before me.

From day one I can hear and feel the rear shocks 'topping' out. A big CLUNCK when the wheels are on the ground and the body springs up during a large bump.

The rear is VERY loose....(no jokes please :p) I realize that when a vehicle is raised it's COG is higher, therefore is more prone to more sway, but it is way too much for me. It is also a very rough ride.

So there we go...my reasons for getting the OME 2" lift all around.

Chimyz gave me some advice and he was right on for all of it.

Here is the truck we built. Pretty close to done. We have OME in the front with OME shocks and our own heavy load 2" springs in the rear. Sitting on 33" tires.

Christo, looks awesome! Are you going to post some build picts on your website under "project vehicles
"? If not could you post some shots from other angles here. TIA!!! Great work as usual :beer:

I'm surprised no one has stuffed 35's under there yet...seems like there is plenty of room. May need a bit of offset for full cornering.

And yes, all of your rigs are looking mighty fine! I'm just waiting to get the final "best" combo setup before I begin. Thanks for being my guinea pigs!

Observation: I think you'd have to bumpstop the thing pretty good to fit 35's. Wheel wells are smaller and other issues....again, from my observation....could be wrong. You'd probably have a wheel-lifter unless you do some cutting and such.

Do you have a FOX setup for the 200? :D

I don't have a 200 but based upon the substantial improvement in handling, control, fade resistance, etc. on my hundy after installing them I would have Foxes installed if I did own a 200 considering my usage/application.

The shocks were made for the 200-series. If you adjust them within their adjustability I would expect all perameters to be OK.

I would expect the same...but that still doesn't answer my question.

Well my appt is for monday.

They will have the LC for about 2-3 days installing:

OME 2" lift shocks and springs all around.

ENJOY, the new set up. I am very interested in your thoughts on the rear lockers when installed and used. Most people in OZ thinks the lockers on a 200 not really required for most situations.
Merry Xmas
