Does anybody know how much the trail gear sliders weight?

Shipping weight for my sliders was 67 lbs for the pair plus the legs. Zero padding, maybe 7oz worth of cardboard box and duct tape. So safe to say that each slider weighs around 35lbs once fully assembled with the legs and plates.

Thank you. Thought they will be heavier.

I found these on XO fab website. They said they can extend back slider bar to 73” so it covers most of the lx. It measures 74” but I’m assuming 73” is better so it won’t extend out and rub on tires when I go bigger. They said price won’t change much for the 73” bar but It’ll come with the front bar that is used for their 69” sliders. Do you guys think it’ll be good coverage?
With shipping it’s about same price as the trail gear 67” sliders.

They make a 72” kit?

Sorry, i forgot, it was the 69" kit i bought. Originally I was going to get the 80" but that was a bit to long for our application. The 69", if mounted flush with the front of the rear fender well ends just a couple inches behind the front fender well.

This is the only pic I have of them under the car so far when i was trying to figure out how far out and back I wanted them.

If you want them to make you something a little longer, all you have to do is call and ask. They do custom work and its not like its that custom, just a little longer main tube and bent tube.

Got the driver side done yesterday and painted them. Ready for install after a couple touchups. This side came together much better, tighter, cleaner. Lessons learned I guess.

1/4" strengthening plates. As you can see, my truck is VERY rusty. This was necessary.

Not tightened down but close enough to ride position. I really wanted the step for my wife and kids.

Probably need to get a dimple die and make some step plates for it.

Only the bump out sticks out past the tire.

Welds are looking better every day. Had to slot out the front plate holes because of the angle of install.

Ground down all the sharp welds and primed ahead of spray on bedliner application.

All ready to bolt up now.

I would definitely look into adding plates if using this as a step. the gaps look very dangerous for little feet.

I'd also add a reinforcement welded on the leg/plate joint.

Edit: I see it on your CAD design.

Yeah, I have them. They came with the XO kit. Going to mount them up and see if there's any flex when I lift the truck or stand on the sliders. Then decide if i need to add them.

Why did you decide to bolt up?
If you didn’t add the bolt on extra plates would they be too far in?
