inclinometer clock/light power supply?

my truck has a factory mechanical inclinometer and digital clock the clock has never worked and the inclinometer doesn't light up...i was poking around under there and found a "3 prong" male connector just hanging out behind the ashtray coming off the back of the unit. does anyone know what/where that goes or if it wasn't factory installed might i not have a place to plug it?
