Identify Loose Cable From Positive Battery Terminal

Can anyone help me identify this loose cable coming from the positive battery terminal? It is outlined in orange in the attached image. Thanks in advance for your help!

It does. It is connected to the positive battery terminal. Please see image below:

The other end. I can't see clearly from your first pic if it's just a frayed open end or where it goes. Looks like it might be taped off? Could be from an accessory that someone just cut vs. removing.

The other end is not connected to anything - just cut and taped off. Surely you’re right that it was an accessory that the PO just cut the wire to. Hopefully it’s not too hard to remove! Looking at it won’t do.
