I absolutely love most things about my LC, but the Bluetooth is garbage. About half of the time, bluetooth doesn't work, even though it shows synced with my phone. This has been an ongoing issue since I bought the vehicle almost 3 years ago. Is there a fix for this?

Thank you!

Are you talking about bluetooth calling or audio? or both? Will it transfer contacts to the vehicle successfully?

I assume you've tried different devices?

A lot of times, I'll receive a call on my car, and when I answer, there is no sound, so i have to immediately pick up the actual phone. And often, I can be calling someone through BT, but again no sound and the other party has picked up, so I have to pick up the phone.

Then on the next call, it comes through fine with no issues. There is no rhyme nor reason, nor pattern. It just seems like something's unstable on the Toyota end of the equation, as i do not experience this in my wife's Range Rover or rental vehicles.

Here is what you need to do:
1. Totally Remove the phone pairing from the car.
2. Then remove the car pairing from the phone. Yes complete removal.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable for 15 minutes
4. Re-attach neg battery cable
5. Re-pair the Bluetooth connection.

Every IOS phone update can change the Bluetooth version. It’s best to repair the Bluetooth connection after any IOS phone update. The battery disconnect will cause a hard reboot of the system. Good luck.

I had issues with my new iPhone X pairing in order to play music after many years of near flawless service from my older iPhone. Only difference was I did not disconnect my battery. Good luck!
