^ Not a member of that forum so don't know if/what plans you have for the recovery. I know you've helped others in the past using your old unimog but given the size of truck and the slope it looks like you probably need some real equipment. May or not help but thought of these guys from Hope/Boston Bar that I've worked with in the past: http://www.gormac.ca/index.html Old school logging road builders. Monstercruiser might also remember them from a bridge job up West Harrison.
Sucks about the no collision/out of pocket part. I don't have it on mine either so this is food for thought.

Ya , i pm d him offering him a hand . This is no easy recovery for sure. I got a call into a buddy about a local skidder. Haven't heard back from either.
yes heavy equipment for sure as the rig is almost 18000 pounds at a very crapy section of the road. thanks for the link. i may actualy use them depending how it goes. do you have a contact number at all?
for now, the road got washed out last week so cant get in anyway.
Glad you recovered well. That sucks you don't have collision! I kept driving by this uber cool truck on my way home from work all summer and trying to figure out what it was from the side and the back, until I saw the BCC video of it articulation ramp. Well I hope you get it recovered without any problems.
I remember the job, but not the contractor.
I checked with the guys on my current job site, but they don't know of anyone out that way. You could call Teal Cedar and see who they would use if they had work out there. I think they have operations out that way.

Yes, Teal Cedar Products had some area up fraser canyon so they would be a good choice to chat with. Even a call to the the guys at FLNRO office at the Chilliwack Forest District. I remembered that while on that W Harrison job a few guys were from Boston Bar, Gormac (Gordon MacDonald) and at least one of the Teal CP guys anyways, if you end up needing to hire in some equipment.

thank you. this was actualy our second attempt. we were out there on last sunday as well and lost the truck almost at the top due to a chain breaking.
thank you. i too am glad its over as there was all sorts of obsticles besides just the recovery that was turning into a nighmare. but there is also some positive out of this. i made a few new friends. was amazed that people that didnt even know me helped out. the most unlikely person is Al Quiring. he is the guy from the highway through hell show with the green tripple axle truck. he lowed me a s*** load of brand new gear and i used them all. the recovery would not have happened without this gear. awesome individual.
now this is real cable. a 7/8 by 120 footer and size 1" by 20 feet chockers. thanks Al.
