I hesitate to type this, because I am new to the mechanic stuff, but it seems to me that what he has circled is different than the US pcv valve and grommet, which would be on the other side of the engine. It appears that he has a different type of set-up. What he has circled would be the vent hose that attaches to the solid sleeve, not the pcv valve (which would be on the other side of the valve cover).

Thoughts?

You are correct BHM--that is not the PCV he has circled. In fact his PCV is not present in any of the pictures.

Any idea where it is, then? Or if he has one (I'm assuming he does)?

Not sure if he has one. If I took the same pic of my us 1fze (and yours probably as well) you would be able to see it in the pic located just forward and to the right of the hose he has circled. I just cleaned mine yesterday trying to diagnose a low idle issue.

On further review of the 2nd pic he posted you can see the hose that attaches to the PCV--it is sticking up off of his intake so he must have a PCV somewhere.

Yup. He's got the hose moved up and out of the way. The screwdriver is covering the spot where the pcv would be. Mystery solved.

And it does . ?

If you have a pic of your setup and where the PCV looks would be great ..

PCV valve allows unburned gasses to exit the crank case and be recirculated back through the intake to get "re-burned".

The hose you removed that is pointing up in the air in your pic: The metal thing attached to it that you removed from the valve cover that rattles when you shake it is the pcv valve itself. The rubber grommet it goes into on my vehicle is right on top of the valve cover--not sure where it is on yours.

If you shake the pcv and it doesn't rattle you should replace it.

I got it !!!!! thanks !!!!

So my first step would be the PCV and after that the IAC ..

Hi Guys .. finally I got chance to do this job ..

I would say the hole job its  but the low screw for the IAC it's 3:banana: job .. I need to use a chisel to loosen this screw. Apart of that .. all comes fine and easy.

I found little dust in my IAC and PCV .. anycase I shot both with plenty Carb cleaner .. and after that looks great. Also found that the PCV after clearning when I shake it sound like it have a ball inside .. so I thought wou now it's clean and free ..

Reinstall all and start the engine .. fine, the engine rev's up nice ( was cold ) and I let it free until reach the operative temp. nice at this time the engine revs barely over 900 rpm ..

But When I take a test ride .. I feel again the revs comes down suddenly ..

So now what to do . ?

Update ..

I've been working on this without luck .. time on time ( not regular intervals ) start bothering me .. but I found one pretty interesting thing. When it start with the low idle issue and I start the AC and off again ( swith it on and off ) the low idle issue disapeer ..

Definately are conected .. not sure the relation but it is .. continue searching.

Hey Tapage,
Did you ever pull the throttle body and clean it up? That ended my high start up idle and low warm idle...just a thought since it worked for me

YUMMY

Yap I already do .. actually was clean but anycase I clean it again after cleaning my IAC don't make the expect result ..

The last think that I need to do it's pull the 3 screws on the IAC and clean inside ..

Hmmm, yes, when I cleaned the TB I cleaned the IAC too. Hopefully that'll do it for you.

Yes, when I had the TB out I unscrewed the IAC and cleaned it and the connecting passages of the TB. I didnt take it apart to add the O-ring though, but the idle was better afterward anyway

Did you ever try on and off the AC and see if that help your low idle condition ?

The AC would make the idle rise, but it does that at my current idle (600 rpm) so I dont know if that has anything to do with it. I think turning the AC on puts more strain on the engine and it has to idle higher. Just my guess though. I'm bummed for you that cleaning the throttle body didnt fix it :frown:

Yep .. the AC puts more " charge " on the engine .. but surprisingly when I put it on ( the AC ) and off inmediately the low iddle issue disapieer .. If I only put on the AC the engine idle worse .. due to the AC " charge " ..
