so im not sure if its exactly that or maybe it could be the slave cylinder i dont know ne thing about either but basically my truck is very hard to shift in first and reverse and pretty much every gear but after its moving the rest arent so bad. Also when im at a stop light the clutch is in but it kinda still wants to move like the clutch isnt working. Can somebody plz help me i need to get to work!

check the hydrolics. then if you have to drop the tranny and see what kind of condition the clutch and pressure plate is in. my pressure plate went out just 2 weeks ago and i figured it out a week ago. my truck, an 84 with a 22R and G52 tranny, was incredibly hard to shift into any gear at any time.

The pilot bearing in the rear of the crankshaft can go bad, causing hard shifts, like the clutch isn’t releasing all of the way.

Does it get better if you pump it? If so, it's hydraulics. Check for leaks in the cab behind the clutch pedal and at the slave cyl. Or, it could have just gotten some air in there somehow. You can bleed it and see if that helps and may get you to work for awhile.

My clutch m/c is leaking, but the leak shows on the firewall under the m/c. Look behind the starter on the passenger side and see if there is any fluid on the slave cylinder. Also if the fluid level is normal in the m/c, you are not leaking any fluid.

not necesarlily i had a guy tell me like a week ago that his slave was leaking enough to affect the shifting but not enough to be seen in the fluid level at that point in time. hope you get it figured out.

sry i havent been on for awhile i dont have an internet connection rite now but ne ways im pretty sure its not hydraulic cuz it wont do ne thing when i pump the clutch. Also it shouldnt be the pressure plate due to the fact that i just put a new clutch in 2 weeks ago. although i had to do that because i needed a a pressure plate on the old clutch due to the same problem. Although if my pressure plate is indeed done with in that short of time then the defineatly must be and underlying problem creating the worn out pressure plate. somebody help me plz!

Well it honestly wouldn't be the first time I've seen a brand new clutch get pulled back out, whether defective or installation related.

Also I'm sure you bled it but do it again, water can get in there and even if it looks like you are full, water doesn't make a very good hydraulic fluid. Let it drip empty and then bleed/flush it out with new then fill it and do your normal bleeding procedure. I bet you need a MC.
