I got it. I just didn't see any mention of required re-balance or alignments. I think I am going to do the spacers too.

Ah. True.
You won't need to rebalance or align, because you aren't changing anything that would impact balance or alignment. If you lift your truck, then you'd need an alignment...but not for spacers.

Regarding 1.25" Spacers. Is there ANYTHING needed to be done other than just bolt and go? Will the vehicle need an alignment or re-balance? With 275/70-18's and no lift, I suppose I may have to remove the front mud flap?

Am I really risking anything with them other than just the nicer look? :)

I can give a full report about this time next week.

Sorry for the marginal photogs...... in a hurry. Had to remove the front mud flaps but will put them back on this weekend. Only rubbed slightly on them, well inside the wheel well. This is with 275/70/18 BFG KO2's and 1.25" Spidertrax
spacers.

I like the look........

Thank you for posting pics. I was wondering how the narrower tire would look as I have the same size spacers. Looks great, would you mind posting front and back shots from 10ft or so away. I know I'm being picky but would like to see the stance from center. Thanks again :)

Nice, what's the down side of going from a 285 to a 270 as far a driving on the road? Thinking of going this route, but I'm trying to figure the pros and cons of a narrower tire on the road.

You realize a stock 285 compared to the 275's I installed are less than 1/2" narrower, right? I cannot imagine that could make too much difference. Outside appearance wise, it would be half that I'd guess.

Angelo1, here are some pics. Not a very good time of the day for taking them. I'll see if I can do better later today and post up Monday.

Nice bike. Stuffed in there.

Nope. Different one. EVIL The Following. I have two full sus (the EX too.)

Leaving for Pisgah in about an hour.

lucky dog...have fun...shred it up

You might be able to trim those front flaps and put them back on without the tires rubbing. I saw a white 200 with 35s on it at Trollhole's place that did that to his front flaps to keep them from rubbin'. Just a thought.

Yeah, they're going back on. Will only have to remove a small inner portion for there to be no rubbing.

Some great photos in here.

Do you guys with 285s or 275s have any rubbing on off-road situations? It's 4-5% larger diameter typically so wondering if there's any slight rubbing when the shocks are compressed - should be no big deal but just curious.

I'm running the same wheels as kreiten without a lift (oem front spacers) and it does rub in front on occasion when aired down to around 15 psi. I have removed the front mud guards and plan to lift it soon.

Probably very little. Less width means marginally less traction and stability, but it also means marginally less rolling resistance and thus marginally better gas mileage. As @dukmon points out, 10mm is about 0.4" so in the real world I wouldn't expect a noticeable difference unless you're pushing your LC to its limit.

In general, skinnier tires are better in snow (think how a bicycle tire sinks into the snow vs how a snow shoe walks on top of it), wider tires are better in sand (which is why airing down helps).

For those running the 175/70-18 KO2's....does that size on a factory wheel fit underneath in the spare tire cavity? My 100 could not fit any larger than the factory size under there.
