So what's the update on these lights?? Are they holding up?

Does anyone know how many Lummens do they throw out??

Link is dead too. Can someone post the actual make and model of these lights? Thanks.

O"rielly bought out checkers and this looks like the light

Custom Accessories 99000 - HID Offroad Light | O'Reilly Auto Parts

I have had mine for a couple years now. No problems at all. Club member has had his longer and no issues. Draw almost no power. very bright. Its not a beam but it just lights up everything. Would buy another set without hesitation.

Looks like 3200 lumens

I have a set on my 80 for maybe 2 years now I got a set with this post was first posted.
All I can say is they work good. So far no problems I been switching them off and on like high beams. And Cambodia has some bad roads so they get a bouncing .
I only wish they has a flood pattern and not the driving light type Its very flat light output but shines far but if you dont get them adjusted just right the light is too high or too low.
I say 10 out 10 buy em good for the price.

Have used both the 4" and 7" on different work rigs for over 3 years and for the price, they are the best auxillary lights that money can buy - only issue was out of the box one was defective (would not light up) - just go back to the store and get an exchange - usually no waiting and you are back in business again. These bad boys are BRIGHT and the pattern is great for distance and lighting up the sides !!! Kept me from hitting a few moose that decided to take a winter stroll on the highway :steer::steer:

I have a pair of the red-ringed cheap HID lights on my truck since around '08-'09 ish.

They've been solid - no issues beyond the pollycarb lens cover yellowing a bit with sun & age. No idea where to buy more though.

YMMV

O'Reilly Automotive carries them now. They are around $120.00 each. I have had mine now for 5 years and they still work great.

So... did I read it somewhere that the bulbs/burners are not replaceable?

Also, do these lights have driving light pattern, rather than pencil or fog light pattern?

Just curious.

It sounds like if they perform like they're supposed to when you first install them, then they last for a long time.

I thought about that when I bought mine, but considering that the whole light cost less than just the bulb for HID lights from other manufacturers - you can see where my thoughts went.

I would call mine a driving light pattern. They light up everything in about a 160* arc around the front of the truck for a few hundred feet and the road/trees ahead for the next half mile quite nicely.

Interesting - searching 7" HID now pulls up several of these at $110 and up - but I'm not familiar with the retailers.

There is another light that looks like the same light with a gimicky grill on it - but if I read this right they're four for $156. I'm not familiar with the seller/store. Of course they're showing a shipping cost of $227 - so I'd probably not shop there.

It really looks like whoever made these spun up a new batch and they're just now hitting the retailers.

$108.82 with free shipping and it's even bigger, at 8"!!
That's awesome!!

And you just cannot beat that!

Thanks for your input!
If I were looking for a pair or two or three pairs of super bright lights for cheap, I would be all over them!

As for me, I have so many lights scattered around my wife would shoot me if I picked up another pair!

Do you have a link to the hellas? How do they hold up to water?

I'm going on three to four years (8" ones on my short bus bumper) without any issues; really surprised they've lasted this long.
